We were there Wednesday and was so impressed. The food was so very tasty. I had the spicy , honey glazed chicken sandwich that was huge and so very filling. Truly remarkable . The new owners have done wonders to the menu ! It was so good we went back the next day and had their amazing bread pudding and our morning coffee. Do miss out on this special lace with all the friendly faces.

The best Gator bites I have eaten. Had the shrimp Po Boy and shrimp were so big it only took 3 to cover the bun. Wife had the BLT. She said it was great. Plenty of everything on it. Ready to go back. Service was great.

We stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday. First, let me say, the service here is second to none. They weren't busy, but we were seated and had our beverages on the table in less than 2 minutes from the friendliest server you could ask for. Everyone was super nice.We both opted for shrimp and catfish plates. The fish was about as good as I've had anywhere. The shrimp were good, too. The condiments and sides were delicious, as was the complimentary "bean" bar.The meal was not inexpensive, but we both said we will come back here next time we visit Jefferson. This place gets two thumbs up from me!

Melanie was friendly and offered excellent service. My eight-year-old even mentioned how kind she was. The Bigfoot burger and Po-Boy that we got were excellent. We enjoyed the complimentary bean soup as well. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I love this restaurant. The food is fresh, huge portions and that coleslaw is the best I've had in years. We were served fish, chicken fried steak and pasta by Eva, she is a jewel and the best server I've had in a long time. Go here and eat, you won't be disappointed.
I thought a long time before I decided to review this place. My guess is that 85% of everything on their menu comes right out of the freezer. Overdone entree. The "bean bar" was sorely lacking in beans. Bottom line is seriously do not waste your money. This quaint beautiful city has several excellent places to eat- this is not one of them. EDIT: there is an answer from the owner -shown below- The unacceptable response has some uninformed statements. To clarify - I did not have shrimp and regarding the remark about being racist- the night we were there there was NOT a minority working or dining there. The owner obviously has no idea who I am and just threw out the discrimination statement as an effort to discredit me. Sad.
