Before I say anything else we did love it and will go back. That being said the menu needs fixing. All the pricing was wrong to the point where everything we ordered was atheist a dollar different and one thing was $5 more than menu price. Our total was about $15 more than what we thought we were paying. Also the wait to get in was none but the wait on food was a bit lengthy but worth it. Now the food was amazing! They did bring me a half plate when I ordered the whole plate of something but rather than wait longer we just told her nevermind. We all 4 had meals and got 2 appetizers as well. The Gator was pretty good too. We definitely would go back next time we are there. I do wish the menu was fixed tho because I didnt like paying so much more than was expected. Chicken fried steak was great but the star of all of our meal was the etouffee.

PROs: Great location. Indoor seatings. Small and quaint place. Off street parking only. Service is friendly and accommodating. Clean establishment. We arrived between lunch and dinner, no wait time for a party of 5 adults. Food was great! And the meal was presented nicely. CONs: Nothing displeasing.

This was one of the weirdest experiences I’ve ever had. I was with my family. There was four of us. I ordered a pick 2 (mozzarella sticks and fried pickles) and it came with two sauces, a ranch and some type of darker colored ranch. Maybe a Cajun ranch or spicy ranch or something. I ordered a burger and asked the server could she give me a side of the spicy/cajun ranch that I had with the appetizer for my burger. She looked confused and brought me a completely different sauce. She brought me some horseradish sauce. I explained to her that this wasn’t the correct sauce. She went to the kitchen and came back empty handed and gave me a whole speech about how she doesn’t want me to be bad at her but I’m going to be mad after what she has to say. She tells me that whoever is in the kitchen (I guess a manager or something) told her that she can’t give me anymore sauce. And that I have to pay for it. I asked why do I have to pay for sauce if you’re the one bringing the wrong ones. So I told her don’t worry about it. I believe she went to the back and somehow told the kitchen I was trying to get free stuff instead of admitting that she didn’t actually know what I was asking for. She also came and explained every little detail about the upcharges that she already told us about that we all agreed upon when we ordered. She explained that she was just reiterating it because she didn’t want us to be mad at her. She had a bunch of unnecessary conversations with us and she didn’t give anyone else in the restaurant this type of service. I can tell that she was afraid of us because of her previous experiences with black customers. She said she didn’t want us to be mad at her 4 other times when there was nothing for us to be mad at. I truly just wanted to enjoy my meal with my family, but she made it very hard with the constant interruptions. I wish my experience was different. But maybe that server should be in the back of house.

Shrimp and grits were good after an hour of waiting but my daughter's burger bun was burnt to where she couldn't eat it. Service was unacceptable. Waited over an hour for our side salads, waitress brought our ticket before we ever received our food. Then waited another 30 minutes to be cashed out, arrived at 12:51 left at 2:50. 2 hours.

Girlfriend and I came to Jefferson for a weekend getaway. After checking into our hotel and resting up we looked at one of the pamphlets for a spot to grab dinner. We saw that this restaurant was right next door to our hotel. We arrived at 7:30 and were told to sit at a dirty table at the back of the restaurant. We sat for 15 minutes until the waitress came to us claiming that the kitchen was closed, but she would tell them to stop and we would be the last order due to the restraunt closing at 8. We said that was fine even though the pamphlet said it closed at 9. We received our drinks and waited 10 more minutes when she game to take our order I asked her for a to go drink for my tea and said we were just going to leave and pay. After getting the to go cups I asked how much I owed she said nothing and didn't apologize for the inconvenience. While leaving more employees came out of the kitchen, we then overheard her gossip about us to another table. We will not be returning.
