Bryans On 290 offers a welcoming atmosphere with friendly service and tasty food. Portions are generous, and the menu has a good variety. While wait times can be a bit long during busy hours, the overall experience is enjoyable and worth the visit.

What a treat, the food was amazing from beginning to end. Every bite was delicious and cooked to perfection. The mussels (omg the warm bread too), the wedge salad, the salmon and OMG the chocolate creme brûlée was just fabulous.
The service was perfect as well.
Thank you for an unforgettable time!

Everything was fantastic, down to the details. For example, I hoarded the cocktail sauce off the shrimp cocktail platter after apps were cleared because it was too good to let go. The shrimp were perfectly poached, by the way. The brussel sprouts had a beautiful Maillard throughout every layer. Both salads were fantastic and thoughtfully designed, down to the Spanish anchovies on the Caesar and the chunky bleu on the wedge. Speaking of bleu cheese, the cocktail menu was fantastic, contained my favorite premium spirits, and every drink we tried was a hit. I don't usually like fried food, but the schnitzel was the best I've had. It had a nice crunchy exterior without being too heavy. The meat was juicy, and the gravy was so good I asked for an extra side of it. And then we got an extra order of schnitzel for the table. The green beans were also awesome, with a nice char flavor contrasting the dill beurre blanc! I will be recreating that at home since we got to chat with the chef after dinner! From someone who doesn't usually opt for sweets, do not skip dessert! We had the pecan pie and chocolate creme brulee. The whipped cream on the pecan pie was light and tasted of real vanilla bean. The caramel was rich and buttery. The chocolate ganache in the brulee was a wonderfully complex dark chocolate, and both deserts were rich in flavor without being too sweet. Definitely would go back next time we're in JC.

I wanted to like this place. First, we were seated opposite the kitchen, so it was noisy. My friend and I had the lamb osso bucco. We agreed neither of us would order again, it was too fatty. Our other friend had the pork chop which was a good choice. We had to ask our waiter to bring the bottle of wine we ordered, which he brought after our food was delivered. The wine was overpriced ($100 for a $40 bottle of wine). I had to ask the waiter to bring the check, and then ask him to pick up my card for payment. Overall, I was disappointed.

The food was great! The chef let us tested a dish and it was delicious. The staff were nice and attentive. I’m pregnant so I requested a mocktail off the menu and the barista understood his assignment. I definitely come back if I’m in town again. The only thing is the menu is limited, but the quality is good.

This restaurant is as gorgeous as the food is delicious. We started with the wedge and the sausage and pimento. Both were out of this world with flavor and looked great. The duck was fantastic and the salmon was cooked perfectly. Both Katelyn and Crystal made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to make sure our every need was catered to. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

This place is a hidden gem. I am a nightmare when it comes to steak. I like mine well done. I know. I usually accept that it will taste rubbery. But not here. I had my filet done to MY perfection and it was juicy delicious and perfect!!! We did see Bryan literally working the hostes stand. My husband and I came to celebrate our anniversary and I said to him “this chef is working every aspect of service from our reservation to our food I bet it’s going to be fabulous”. Sure enough when I tasted our food I knew I was right. Bryan does his food with love and passion and it shows. I wish I took pictures of our food but it was so delish I ate everything in my plate ! We are waiting for our desserts but I am already planning on coming back and bringing our family here . 🙏🫶💯

My spouse and I chose Bryans on 290 to celebrate our anniversary, and we couldn't have picked a better place. The entire experience—from the food to the service—was truly amazing.
The food was perfection! Every dish was clearly prepared with care. Even when one of our items arrived slightly cold (a small hiccup), the staff and management immediately swooped in and did everything they could to make it right. They handled it with such professionalism and grace that it actually reinforced how dedicated they are to their guests.
The service was impeccable throughout the evening. Our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making us feel genuinely celebrated.
This is a fantastic establishment, and it was a great place to celebrate our anniversary. We highly recommend Bryans on 290 and can't wait to return!

Every single thing was perfect. The best salmon I ever tasted. Hubby says the same think about the steak, which is saying a lot in Texas. The atmosphere was quiet and elegant. We cant wait to go back.

The atmosphere was delightful, the food was incredible, and the service was impeccable (thanks to Kaitlyn and Lindsey).
The ceasar salad was creamy and had a traditional ceasar salad taste. The salmon was absolutely delicious and was cooked perfectly. The pear sour was perfect and the mezcal paired wonderfully with the pear juice. And lastly the chocolate orange crème brûlée was so insanely incredible, the flavor profile that consisted in the dessert was so amazing.
