Fat Boy Burgers is decent. I wouldn't classify them as being the place you just have to stop at. In my opinion they're pricey, burger a little on the bland side, and bun is from any ol supermarket. A single patty burger only (no side) is right at $11. If you're passing through, headed north, and can wait for Storms in Burnet or Lampasas, you'll have a better burger and save some money (Storms Special - triple patty burger with fries - is $11. The Fat Boy venue is pretty cool, though. And the staff were really friendly. If I were a local I'd probably eat there often but next time I pass through I'll try something else.

Outside covered seating with fans was very comfortable. Food is always great for the price... I had the Friday fish fry, my wife had the grilled chicken. But we have also had the burgers...

Let me tell you something. If you’re ever up this way on 281N it’s worth the stop. I got my burger on the Jalapeño Sourdough and it was the bomb.

Best gluten free buger!! This will now be the new meet up spot for my family and I who live an hour each direction. The burgers and fries taste amazing!!! Wendy at Fat Boy Burger was absolutely the sweetest! She greeted us with a big smile, made sure our order was perfect. Her kindness and friendly attitude made the whole experience even better. Definitely made us want to come back!
Was kinda hard getting in, when the place was right at full capacity; but the food was real good. We had a wide variety of food on the table, and it was all good.

Last few times we've been it has taken a ridiculous amount of time to get our food. Today 8/5/25, we were there when doors opened at 11. One couple ahead of us & it was 1145 before we got our food. Food was good as always the wait time will keep us from going back. If you only have an hour lunch break, you can't eat here. Rumor has it they may have changed owners. All new faces past few times we've been.
