Pebble Rock Cellars provided an excellent wine tasting experience. The wines were excellent, our favorites were the 2021 Mourvèdre and Aglianico. Tasting the same wine while listening to different music was enlightening. We plan to return to Pebble Rock.
Really solid wine from a really solid small business.
The two owners were nice and knowledgeable. Plus, they make delicious pumpkin bread 🐧
Absolutely worth a visit!
Great wine tasting experience! I loved the undivided attention we received from wine maker. I enjoyed how approachable he was. Very educational and loved that the winemaker asked us questions. Tasting room had an intimate and friendly vibe. Winemaker sat with us and tasted with us. Beautiful reds!!! 🍷We bought a Petite Syrah, Teroldago, and 2020 o início. We will be back. Definitely worth the drive! Keep it up y’all! 👍✌️
What a wonderful wine tasting experience! Robert and Lydia are so knowledgeable. The tasting is as educational as the wine is good. Not a flashy building but homey and inviting inside. The tasting is set in a quiet room with comfortable seating and a nice atmosphere. They have a refillable wine growler with some of the best red table wine for sipping in the evening. Refills are a bargain at $12. Don’t miss this on your next trip to the area. Reservations required.
I recently did a vertical tasting at Pebble Rock and I can say the class and elegance that goes in setting up the tasting is far superior to a vast amount of tasting I have done. I private card set up with my name and the wine maker sitting down to talk over the wine itself adds so much to the experience. The decor of the small tasting room makes for an amazing experience, if you are in the area and would like to do a tasting and have a genuine experience, make a reservation. Well done Pebble Rock.
The wine tasting was very unique. We observed how listening to music changed the wine. We’ve attended countless wine events and have never been educated on this interesting phenomenon. The wines and the winemaker’s passion were all wonderful!
Lydia and Rob are great! Amazing story and amazing wines!
Pebble Rock Winery is a hidden gem! Lydia and Robert have created a beautiful and welcoming space. The wines are absolutely delicious, with something to suit every palate, and the atmosphere is both relaxing and stunning. Their passion for winemaking shines through in every glass, and their hospitality makes you feel right at home. I immediately signed up as a member! If you’re in the area, this is a must-visit destination. Five stars!
Sweet, little winery. When you book a tasting, the wine maker will sit down with you and talk about the wines. They happily accommodate our son. The wines are incredible, but the personal touches are above and beyond. Highly recommend.
I had such an amazing experience. It was very evident how this is a passion project. They were kind, patient and passionate. Wish them the best and more.

Wonderful. Had a nice short visit and definitely going back for a full tasting. I loved their Petite Sirah, and Dena loved their Roussanne. Neat couple, very friendly with a great story.
Decided to stop by and try Pebble Rock after driving by it for years and we were very glad we did. While it was a small, but beautiful front room, they were able to accommodate us with a tasting on our first time there. Robert started our tasting, but as he had a reserved tasting, Lydia finished our tasting and both were wonderful. I do recommend scheduling your tasting as it is a small building and Robert and Lydia do everything themselves, that is why they are only open on the weekends.
We joined their wine club and returned with friends for a scheduled tasting the next week. The scheduled tasting was in a separate tasting room that was beautifully decorated (as is the entire place). It was a different experience than the first unscheduled tasting, both great experiences. Robert carefully curates the experience and draws on his entire life experience to describe the wines, including his time studying wine across Europe. Every quarter they have a special part of the tasting dedicated to one of the senses and this quarter was about getting rid of sight to focus on smell and taste.
All together, this is a great winery that I highly recommend. They also have a growler program and if you visit, keep an eye out for the hidden penguins!
We had a tasting at Pebble Rock Vineyard in Johnson City yesterday. It was a great experience. Highly educational and fun!!!
Amazing staff and incredible wines. Absolute gem in Johnson City - absolutely must make a part of your trip. We will be back for sure!
