Great little place with delicious food. Service was friendly. Sawsage and beef plate was perfect. German potato salad was good and the coleslaw was perfect, and coconut pie....the coconut pie was amazing!! Might have to go 2 days in a row.

Didn't even get to go in. I am disabled from a stroke and can't do steps. The ramp is so steep I couldn't even use it! I would say they need to revamp their accessibility protocol. I wonder how many customers they lose because we can't even get in the door.

I don't know how it's possible that this place could have a 4+ star rating. We were hoodwinked by the puffed-up rating on a road trip down to Corpus and it will forever be remembered by how awful the experience was. A lot can be forgiven if the food is excellent but it was mediocre at best and just plain awful in some cases like the brisket sandwich and the turkey special. The building is in bad shape and air conditioned poorly. The kitchen, upon leaving and taking a closer look, was not clean from what you can see from the other side of the counter. On top of all of that, the service was very slow, like Cracker Barrel on a bad day slow.

During our travels through town, we have always wanted to try. We did and it was okay. The brisket sandwich had only 4 little slices. The chopped beef had a small scoop. For 3 sandwiches it was almost 20 bucks. I understand meats are expensive, yet this food tasted as it was oven made. The staff was very nice and friendly. The atmosphere was old town feeling, with great A/C.

Wheelchair accessibility: Not ADA at all. Steps to get into the building, no automatic door, but I am sure if you were able to get a wheelchair inside, they could do a table to eat at. No handi-capped accessible parking, just an old gravald lot.

I do not know how this restaurant passes health inspection. We were not impressed with our sandwiches, just ok. Scary hallway to the restrooms. Old building and so dirty inside. When we paid at the register, I observed the grill and everything below the grill. As we went to the door I observed the homemade pies on a table, but below were "clean plates" on a filthy rack. One plus, only one, waitress was nice.

Fast and friendly service. Waitress brought out a whole box of crayons and coloring books for the kids. Pretty dang good food too!
