Been going here since I was born and my family before me. This place has always been our go-to breakfast place on school days since it is right across the street from Kemp High School. Overall great place?
One thing isn't certain. I have taken various samples of this buildings foundation and structurally critical cutouts that I removed to have tested for donuts, to this day we have yet to find this place is made of any kind of donut in the hemispherical donut registration. I'm 99 percent sure this palace is indeed not made of donuts. It is quite small to be labeled a palace as well. I did notice that donuts are being manufactured here just not being used in the construction...
The kolache breakfast sandwich is where it's at!! Oh and the filled donuts, blueberry is my favorite but the other fruit filings are just as delicious. Also, try the kolache sandwich with some jam like the blueberry jalapeño jam from Buc-ees), you won't regret it!!
