I was excited to see the new Burger King in Kenedy with plenty of Tesla chargers out front… thought it might become my go-to Whopper stop when traveling back and forth between Austin and Corpus Christi. Unfortunately, I’m not sure about that now.

The outside looks nice, but the inside is disappointing. Tables were cleared and floors were okay, but there were fingerprints everywhere… on the doors, order screens, and soda machine. In a town this small, it shouldn’t be that hard to keep things wiped down at least once a day. I shared photos so you can see what I mean, but it looks worse in person.

The condiment stand looked decent on the outside, but inside the bins was messy. That lack of attention to detail makes me worry about the overall food quality and safety.

The soda machine was the worst part. It’s one of those touchscreen ones with lots of flavors, but my Coke tasted like it had Kool-Aid mixed in. Dr Pepper was just as bad. When I looked under the pump, it was dirty. I ended up throwing away my cup.

Food took about 10–15 minutes, which isn’t terrible, but considering I was the only walk-in with just one or two cars outside, it felt slow.

What concerned me most was food handling. The manager (I assume) went from chatting with someone at a table to the back helping with food prep, without washing hands. Another employee had gloves but used the same gloves to touch the order screen and then continued with food prep. At least they used knuckles on the screen, but still, that’s not reassuring.

I really wanted this place to be a favorite stop, but I left feeling bummed. I hope management makes some improvements, because right now I’m not sure I’ll have the stomach to stop in again.

Stopped by this Burger King recently, and the experience was disappointing. The store looks like it’s trying to be modernized, but the service was anything but. The wait for food was far too long, even though only a handful of customers were ahead of me.

While three people in the back were clearly overwhelmed, other employees were sitting around instead of helping. At the counter, you’re handed a number for dine-in orders, but there are no table flags or tracking system. That means you’re stuck waiting at the counter for your food, defeating the point of “dine in.”

McDonald’s does this much better—you can sit down, and they bring the order to you. Here, the process felt outdated and inefficient, and the service was slow. Overall, not worth the stop.

The kid play area was nice at least... slowest fast food ever

Wow, you have 1 fountain machine and it did not work. We were just told sorry. Food took 25 minutes to come out and we were the only order at the time. The French fries were absolutely disgusting, you could tell the frier oil hadn’t been changed in weeks. Got chicken nuggets for one of the kids with ranch as dipping sauce, didn’t get that, then waited in line for 10 more minutes for 1 tiny package. Awful just awful

We were the first ones to arrive and ordered our food right away, but still had to wait over 30 minutes to get it. We were then told the deep fryer was broken and that our two large fries wouldn’t be ready—which was already disappointing. What made it worse was seeing other customers who ordered after us receive their food with fries, while we were still waiting. We ended up finishing our meal and leaving without ever getting the fries we paid for.

The service is very slow. They took almost 30 mins to serve the food. We are experiencing the same second time.

How hard is it to get an order correct? They also apparently never have zesty sauce

Absolutely awful experience. The staff clearly have no concept of patience or professionalism. While we were placing an order through the drive-thru, one of the employees had the nerve to say “Godly” in a tone dripping with annoyance—simply because they didn’t know how to ask the right questions to input the order properly into their system. How is that our fault?

The attitude was unbelievably rude and completely uncalled for. We ultimately drove off—not just because of the disrespectful service, but because the wait time was ridiculous. Two cars ahead of us, and it still took over 15 minutes with no progress. That’s unacceptable. If this is how they treat paying customers, I can only imagine what the rest of the operation looks like behind the scenes. Never again.

2 customers. That's how busy they were at 8 pm, 2 customers and they took 25 minutes to provide food. Not even that upset about that regardless of the time crunch. What was more aggravating is that after waiting forever they managed to forget half our order and charged me for an extra fry and drink which we received neither. To our disappointment we were already on the way to our original destination which we were late to so we couldn't go back to get a refund or the full order. I get this is a fast food joint but do better. Do. Better.

By far worst fast food restaraunt I've been to in ages. Service was abysmal, when they couldn't make my sundae, they lied to me and said I ordered a pie instead of just giving me a refund. When my food was ready, they never told me and I ha dto go ask for it. Then they never gave me my drink so I had to ask for that. The food tasted like cardboard. The bathroom didn't have any toilet paper, which the employees knew but did nothing about. Do NOT waste your time or money here.

As someone who works in fast food, when I walked in and only saw 2 employees I didn’t expect much speed in making my order, but when you can see your tray with food only waiting for fries for 30 minutes, it gets annoying. The service was also not very cool, the employee threw the cups at us and was rude. They also were missing our chicken fries even after waiting 30 minutes. Our food was cold. The employees were not wearing gloves. The restroom was a mess (only one restroom available because the other one is broken). No cleaning done. And they handed out the ketchup squirt containers they use for burger making, and I bet they are not going to clean & sanitize them before giving them to other people. Uncool place

My husband and I went and everything was fresh, hot and delicious 😋 Staff were awesome

Its a shame that they aren't training their people well. Service is definitely lacking. And the food has had more mistakes than visits. That being said, the last time I went, the newest workers were a big improvement. Food was on point.

They did not have any picante or hot sauce for the breakfast burritos and they were very curt when they handed us our order.
