This place is an absolute joke. When we woke up, we found roaches in our room. There was a roach in my fiancés’ cup of water. My partner told the staff and they accused him of BRINGING THE ROACHES and lying. They said that we were lying and that we “just need money” which is 100% not the case. I literally cannot believe that a business conducts themselves this way. She was legitimately yelling at him about it. Just disgusting behavior all around.

Although I know this is only a two star hotel/motel. It was a lifesaver for us. We had car problems in the next town over that has no hotel and we had to Uber somewhere in order to stay the night before our car can get fixed the next day. we picked this motel just because it was right off the highway, and even though I never choose to stay Places, other than comfort inn And similar hotels, this hotel was very clean. They got up and answered the phone and the door at 2:30 in the morning and they let us stay an hour later after check out because I needed to get my car situation. It’s all five stars for me

I’ve really enjoyed The Sunriser for the past couple of years! My wife and I always stay here when the renaissance festival in Kilgore takes place during the Spring. The Sunriser is clean, safe, and is really a good value. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in Kilgore.

I usually don't write reviews because they're tacky, but this hotel deserves one. This small hotel on the side of the highway was very clean, quiet, affordable and had a very friendly staff. I stayed for two weeks and I highly recommend this place if you want somewhere nice and simple to rest your head for the night. Thank you.

Motel was nice, super convenient location, across the road to TA travel center and Dennys. Staff went above and beyond to help me in vehicle repair crisis. Refused any compensation for the extra mile. I'm ever-so-grateful for the hospitality and trust.
