The catfish was good but the senior catfish had two thin pieces of fish that were tough and hard to cut, much less eat. But the fish on the regular menu were large and soft. The two piece regular catfish dinner is only 99 cents more and well worth it. The sides were fabulous. Fried squash was thin & crispy with a dusting of cornmeal. Food was especially good, but service was a bit slow. Waitress gave us the check for the wrong table.Update 8/30/22Arrived at noon. Two customers leaving, two more arrived after we were seated in the back half of the dining room. No other diners! Evidently, the a/c wasn't working in the front half. One server, Lulu, was hosting, serving, busing tables, and cashiering. She was really working and doing a great job! Just WOW! The food was perfect. Just like I remember when I was little in Texas. We just stopped for a meal while headed out of Texas. So glad we did. Fried shrimp and catfish are just right with great flavor. Fried okra was just like grannies! Waitress was sweet and attentive. The restaurant isn’t a fancy place but you don’t need fancy when it’s this good!!
