We visited this coffee shop after spending time at Longhorn Cavern State Park, hoping it would be a relaxing stop for my family. My wife and two kids wanted to enjoy coffee and snacks while I attended an important work meeting remotely.

At first, I sat outside, but a loud milk delivery interrupted the call, so I moved inside and even put on earbuds to minimize distractions. There was light country music playing initially, which was manageable. However, about 30 minutes later, the music volume suddenly increased significantly even though there were no other customers there besides us around 3 PM on May 12.

I politely asked the clerk if the music could be lowered a little because I was in a meeting. She reduced it slightly, but the response felt irritated rather than welcoming. Shortly after, repeated loud banging noises started coming from the kitchen area, and the music again became louder and louder. It reached a point where I had to step back outside and finish the last 20 minutes of my meeting there because the indoor environment had become too disruptive.

The overall atmosphere made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, despite being paying customers. My wife wears a Muslim headscarf, and unfortunately we genuinely left feeling that our presence was not appreciated there. We were respectful, purchased drinks and items, and even used our own hotspot instead of relying on the shop’s Wi-Fi. We simply hoped for a calm and welcoming environment for our family during a short visit.

I normally avoid leaving negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing and left a lasting impression for the wrong reasons.

The drinks were AMAZING. I got a cold chai latte and it was so good. My friend got a Honey Bunny and said it really tastes like a honey bun. Super cute atmosphere. Love the decor following the Heron theme. Chairs and tables all very comfortable. I also really loved the art they were selling inside.

I love the Lazy Heron! The coffee is always delicious, the service is quick, and everyone is so friendly. It’s so nice to have a coffee shop in a small town that not only has a convenient drive-through but also a cozy space inside to work or meet up with friends. I also love how creative their seasonal drinks are. Always a great experience!

I went by Lazy Heron after not being back in the area for a couple of months. When I rolled up to the window to order, the barista remembered me and my usual order. It felt so good to be remembered when I was having a tough day. I’ll never go anywhere else whenever I’m in the area. 💜

Today Izza and Kat insisted on cleaning my dirty coffee mug so I didn’t have to use a disposable cup. You just don’t find service like this at a franchise. Great coffee and great people! Please support a great local business.

First time here the Honey Bunny latte was amazing their egg sliders were also great! They actually make great coffee which is often hard to find so 10/10! They gave me a bowl of water for my pup while we sat outside which was very nice.
