A hidden gem: The Potato Shack in Kingsland. Although it has been around for a few years, it has been at three locations until October 2024, when they moved to their permanent home. Co-owner, Robin, and her husband, who provided great service, have wonderful plans for the future: patio for outdoor seating, great sunset view, expanding to a second level and adding wine and beer as well as a more extensive dinner menu. If in the area, check it out.

Overall a good place to eat. My only complaint would be the French dip sandwich, which does not come with any dipping like Au jus. Its not a "French dip sandwich" if it doesn't have a dipping like the Au jus.

Great location, roomy and light. Customer service was friendly and patient. Food was delicious. Chicken salad was packed with grilled chicken, dried cherries, cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes, nuts and blue cheese. Baked potatoes was large and yummy. Only down side is the restaurant can get very loud as it fills with folks.
