Third thing we noticed was the food was absolutely scrumptious and had its own twist on flavor and presentation hard to do when there's a Mexican restaurant on every corner. We went back for seconds and we definitely will be going as often as possible even though we live across town we discovered this little gem by accident but then again there are no accidents! This morning, Saturday, December 7, I visited LA Parrillada for breakfast and had one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. We arrived at 10:10 and shortly after placed our order. There is a sign out front indicating that breakfast specials are cheaper between 7 and 11 a.m. However, despite arriving within breakfast hours, the waitress, who had a tattoo of the Virgin Mary on her right arm, informed me that I was not eligible for the discount because I paid after 11am. It is completely unreasonable to penalize customers for restaurant inefficiency. My food didn't arrive until 11, and when I paid (at 11:20 or 11:30), I was told I had to pay full price. What is this fair like when I ordered and was seated during the special breakfast time? Nowhere on the sign does it state that customers must pay before 11 a.m. to receive the discount. This dishonest and poorly communicated policy is unacceptable. The fact that I was forced to pay more for their slow service is ridiculous. On top of that, the waiter's behavior was disturbing: he was moving frantically and rushing around as if he were on something, which did not inspire any confidence in the service. This was the first and last time I had dinner here. I will never return to LA Parrillada, and I highly recommend that others avoid it as well unless you like being overcharged and receiving poor service.

Traveling back home we where starving took a little detour to look for breakfast mid-morning, saw this small place middle of nowhere..went in greeted by the nicest friendliest person. Breakfast options where great traditional Mexican breakfast. Amongst 5 of us we had variety, menudo barbacoa plate machacado huevo rancheros. Everything was superb, fresh corn and flour tortillas. Everything was excellent and the staff where super friendly and so attentive.
