I visited your place on Friday 3/13/ 2026. I really enjoyed the meal (Buffet). However I was very disappointed in the wait staff. We were there for quite a while and the only waitress who was working was a small older lady. She was taking orders, serving and bussing tables. I noticed three younger women in a side room across from the register who was just standing around talking. The older woman was all over the place cleaning tables. I think this needs to be addressed. Food was great. I’m from Louisiana so, I recognize good gumbo. I will recommend you to others.

They were out of salad and mashed potatoes, had 1 chicken fried steak. Most of the food was at room temperature except for 2 vegetables. Quality of food was poor and service was slow. Very disappointing. Will not be returning.

For years I'd been meaning to make the drive out to Hardin County to check out Mama Jacks, and I'm sure glad I finally got around to it! For one: You're not going to find a better quality lunch buffet at a more affordable price, anywhere. The food on MJ's buffet is some of the best comfort food around, especially the meatloaf on Wednesdays. Friday night with the seafood buffet, nowadays, there is also a great deal of talent booked regularly to entertain patrons. Check it out, and I can pretty much guarantee Mama Jacks will become your new favorite place!
First time there. Checked out buffet and decided to go that route. Everything we ate was delicious. Well worth the drive to try it out.

This has been one of our go-to places for many years. Not anymore. We have given it 3 chances since it has changed ownership. The food is nowhere near the quality that it used to be. The buffet is sparse the majority of the time. The food is all very bland now. There was a hair in my husband's salad. Thankfully the salad was immediately changed out as soon as he let the server know.The most disappointing part is that they even changed the cinnamon rolls and that was the best part. They are much smaller and so dry now with very little cinnamon, if any. I hate to have to take this little restaurant out of our rotation but unfortunately today was our last trip. We will certainly miss it

The management and entire staff are absolutely great. I have never once had a single issue with this place and every time I eat here the food is always fresh and delicious and I am always treatment with kindness and respect. Also, when you walk in you’re not just a customer but they treat you like family. This honestly is one of the best places I’ve ever been to
