I have NO IDEA why people are leaving bad reviews, look....I eat out A LOT and this place is a greenlight in my book. The brisket was super moist, huge portions unlike other BBQ joints. Pour your own beers, the corn fritters rocked my face off.. And yes they use real corn. Chef has gauges, and when a chef has gauges in his or her ears you know it's gonna be GREAT food. Hater's gonna hate, but come give this place a try... Service was AWESOME too! Chef came around to each table making sure everything was great. I also don't know the owner, I'm just a honest dude leaving an honest review.

The location is super clean. I really APPRECIATE THAT. I mean spotless even the vents!!! They wore gloves at the right times removed them when touching money.....so I was ecstatic to see their sanitation was 100!!! I had above and beyond service from an employee named Ray, who was just kind, patient, and extremely informative for my first visit.The loaded spud is something I would come back for!! I'm a huge potato fan. The potato salad was yummies, too.The frito pie was delicious and it came with the Pico de gallo and like they were not greedy with the sour cream so praise the lord on that!!!! mmm mmmm good. The jalapeños sausage was super amazing.I want to come back to the self-serve wine/beer drink station, I asked how it works, and they give you a big cup and a little bracelet, and you scan the bracelet to pour your own drinks!! It's like a little bar tab bracelet it's super futuristic!! The brisket was super moist and tender, maybe just a tad bit oversalted for my taste.

The food was very very good. Tender, well seasoned meat. We had the creamed corn and Mac anc cheese and both were hot,creamy and stellar flavors! Customer service was a 10/10!!! Will be a UC favorite!?
I might try again to give it a chance. I'll definitelyhave to try differentitems. The brisket tastes alright, a little dry. The corn fritters are a disappointment because there's no corn they are simply cornmeal rolled into balls overcooked nearly burnt no flavor. I'm not thinking about the next time, not rushing to get back.

The corn bread fritters with butter are delicious! The Mac n cheese has a kick. The brisket falls apart and the sauce is yummy. I have nothing bad to say. I love that the owner has pictures of their family on the wall. It made feel very family oriented with great cooking. I very much recommend ?

It's ok. I probably would go back if I was nearby but I am not thinking I definitely want to go back. By the way why is it extremely difficult in San Antonio area to find a barbecue restaurant that sells chips or fries or onion rings? I understand not wanting to get into the process of making and fries, but why not have an inventory of chips? It's pleasant to have a crispy side with a sandwich.

Everything was delish. We had a 3 meat plate. Brisket, turkey, ribs. All were great. Like the sauce. The green beans are fresh in olive oil and garlic. Loved it all. Had to try the sausage. Everything has its own different flavor. All great.

Walked in requesting brisket. They were sold out for the day. But I guess that’s the norm for most barbecue places, gotta get there early. Staff was very apologetic and friendly. And made recommendations for other meats. We’ll have to try again and try the brisket.
