Stopped at this Starbucks for a quick drink and to grab a couple of things at around 9:40am, the girls that we were working were gossiping about other people who were coming to work at this Starbucks and speaking about others very personal information. The gossiping was happening between three workers who really had nothing nice to say. Also including that they aren’t required to smile at people. I wasn’t going to leave a review but the way they were speaking about others really rubbed me the wrong way especially in front of customers.

Went into Target to buy an item of clothing for my mom’s funeral service. I went to the Starbucks to pick up a coffee, the cashier asked for my name and another older female took my payment. I stood waiting with my daughter and sister for my order. About 5 minutes went by and my daughter noticed a cup on the counter where you pick up. She asked the younger girl who took my order if it was my order. She curtly said “did you look at it?” She then walked over slid the holder down and walked away and continued in a conversation with the older lady. I was really surprised at her rudeness and how she just walked away without even answering if it was my drink. My daughter picked the drink up and handed it to me. There was no name or drink description on the cup or the holder. Could’ve been anybody’s order. Why did she ask my name if she wasn’t planning on even writing it down. As I walked away I looked at them both and said “ you are extremely rude” and the older woman said “yes, mama” and laughed with the younger girl. That pair definitely don’t belong in customer service.

To their credit, things started off beautifully, the ham and cheese croissant was absolutely phenomenal. Perfectly heated before I even finished paying, buttery, savory, genuinely the highlight of the visit. If the experience ended there, this review would be a love letter.

But then came the hot chocolate, and my God what a catastrophic downfall. Not a “treat yourself” moment whatsoever. It genuinely tasted like it had been made with water, not whole milk. I took a few sips while strolling and trying to get into the holiday spirit, but every sip made me feel more irritated. I finally walked back and politely asked if they used whole milk. The cashier insisted, “Yes, we only use whole milk unless you customize.” Meanwhile, the two baristas who actually made the drink just stared at me blankly, no apology, no curiosity, no attempt to fix the situation. The energy was basically, “Well… sucks for you.”

And that’s where Starbucks completely lost me not just with the poorly made drink but with the absolute lack of customer service recovery. Any well trained customer service team knows that when a guest says, “This tastes wrong,” you offer something, a remake, an alternative drink, a simple acknowledgment. Instead I got stone faces, shrugged shoulders, and a dismissive, “We used milk,” as if that magically solved anything. It felt careless, unprofessional, and borderline apathetic. So I walked away disappointed.

The sad part? One bad hot chocolate snowballed into a completely soured mood and it didn’t have to be that way. A great food item followed by a drink disaster and zero customer service effort? That’s how you turn a customer into someone who rethinks their visits.

Starbucks, you nailed the croissant but you absolutely butchered the hot chocolate, and the service team butchered it further by not caring enough to fix it.

They need to retrain the employees not to stick their fingers INSIDE the cups, they can hold the cup on the outside while writing on it. Also, to wash their hands after cleaning or handling the registers. I had to tell the new lady to wash her hands after scrubbing something nasty

The lady working had a very bad attitude and very bad energy and service. She was also not very friendly and ruined my experience she was maybe in her late 40s to 50s. I will not be going back to that Starbucks. It was also my birthday and she was making faces when I was telling her my order.

The person in front of my family gave the employees a gift card with about $500 on it and asked the employees to use it to pay for everyone that came in line after him. He wanted to do something for strangers during Christmas time. He turned to me, and said, “Merry Christmas!”

After he walked off, the employees didn’t do what he asked. My family’s food, and everyone else’s after my family weren’t covered by the generous man’s Christmas gift. Because the employees chose to pocket the gift card for themselves.

I found him and told him about the situation he went back and had to explain it once again to the employees. They didn’t seem apologetic and likely still pocketed the gift card after we left.

8/22/24 I went here around 1:20pm and the older woman around her late 30s - late 40s was very rude and she definitely knew it, didn’t need to give all of that attitude towards us when we were just trying to order our drinks

I honestly haven’t even ordered from them. I got in line to place an order and took at look at the pastry display. It was full of gnats. All over the food. I was so grossed out I just walked away.
