I want to begin my review with La Luz has been our family's goto for tortillas for many years. Their tortillas have always been good. HOWEVER, I want to express my dissatisfaction due to quality and customer satisfaction. Last week, we bought two large (50) packs of tortillas due to a family gathering. they were bought on Saturday and used that evening. We went through the first pack and everything was good. When I opened the second pack, there were brown/black/green spots on the tortillas. We pulled out various and found some spots larger than others. My Mom (96-years old and more experienced) advised us not to use them because they were bad. I saved 10 of them and threw the rest away. I went to La Luz today to explain the situation. I spoke to Noel. He listened and looked at the tortillas. Then he said as soon as the tortillas roll off the machine, they are packed and wrapped. There is no way that they would turn bad in a day. He said the only thing he could do for me is offer me a discount. I counter-offered and said, since I did not need that many anymore, I would be satisfied if he just gave me two of the small packs and we can call it even. He said NO, he could not give me anything, but only apply a discount. I told Noel, is that your final decisison and the way you want to leave this? And he replied YES. So grading on the quality of tortillas this last time, it was unfortunate that they were bad. And having been a faithful customer, and getting the result with dealing with the bad pack of tortillas, I clearly grade their customer satisfactionn poor. At this point, I have asked my family never to return and do business with La Luz. I'll stick with HEB, where the customer is heard and a fair resolution is worked out between customer and supplier.

Huge fan of La Luz. it is family owned and operated, I think, because lots of them look very similar. Best store bought tortillas anywhere and they cook up nicely when heated up. They also have great barbacoa, amazing lengua, and delicious tamales. I highly recommend making this place your go-to for these items. I've been a loyal customer for years!

Only tried the corn tortillas and they're not good. Tortillas are too thick and get hard as soon as they cool. I heated them at home on the comal, but by the time I'm eating it on the table they get hard and taste stale. I bought the big pack for $4.50. I thought I'd like them based on other reviews but I guess they only speak for the barbacoa and not the corn tortillas. Only had a few tortillas and got rid of the pack. Don't get the tortillas unless you want to make tostadas on the grill - that's the only way I can imagine they'd taste good.

La Tortilla Spot has the most delicious freshly made stone ground tortillas, masa for tortillas and totopos! OMG the corn flavor really comes out! Apparently they are not serving tacos or freshly made food currently, but, if you make your own you will want to use these tortillas. We have been buying freshly made tortillas and masa from Ranch Market nearby, but here at La Tortilla Spot they taste so much better. I never knew masa or tortillas could have so much flavor! A real eye opener! Bought some masa and made sopes, and they were the best tasting we have ever had! The deep corn flavor really makes a difference. And the tortillas bring so much flavor to tacos! I am in love with these stone ground tortillas and masa! Located in the mall Behind Genie G's and Burger King, worth looking for if you love tortillas. They have small street taco size tortillas as well, and some great tasting masa to go. We hope they go back to serving tacos etc but, if you make your own tacos at home with these tortillas you won't be disappointed!!
