Hey, sonic is a great place you know for the price their new smash burgers are pretty good for five bucks. You’re not paying 1516 bucks for a burger it’s just a nice Quik in an Audi. It’s been there forever. I go there when I get my craving excellent place to go. You can order ahead of time or get the gift certificate certificates. It’s awesome makes great Christmas stocking stuffers or for birthdays.
Charging for water is so un-American and bad for business. No restaurants do this. And the tipping is so outta hand. Everyone is so presumptious about it, which makes it a huge turn-off. Corporate welfare-depending on the customers to pay their employees for them.

Awful carhop experience. Handed our food over, asked us if we’d like anything else, and my wife asked for a pup cup. Girl then let out a loud sigh saying we had to pay for it, ok not a problem… at that time another even louder sigh….. Reallly now? Keep your bad vibes behind the door before serving/ greeting your customers. As locals to lago we will not be back.

Worst Sonic I’ve ever been to. Food is horrible. Service is not great. New to Lago Vista, been here for 4 months. I’ve been to this Sonic three times and all three times, it has been a bad experience. The first time, I ordered drinks, corn dog, and tatertots. The drinks were fine, but the corn dog was shriveled up and rubbery and the tater tots were undercooked. Second time I went, I asked for a large sonic blast with extra extra Reese’s peanut butter chunks. What I received was basically a thick vanilla shake with a little amount of peanut butter and chocolate dust. Absolutely no chunks. Most blasts have bite sized pieces of candy throughout. There was nothing to even chew. The pieces were the size of salt and barely any in it. Very disappointing. The third time I went, I placed an order of two large mozzerella sticks, a large pickle fries and a small pickle fries, and a burger. After waiting around 10 mins, the girl comes out with a large coke. We told her that our order did not have drinks. She immediately turned around and went back in. Then 11 minutes later, she came back and asked if we had ordered. We told her we had ordered and paid over 20 mins ago (there was only three customers at the time). She told us that yes, she brought us that order but said it wasn’t ours. We told her she handed us a large coke and we said wrong order so she took the entire order and went back in. She didn’t say a word, just stormed off with horrible attitude and then came back with two crumpled bags and said, “ I thought yall ordered a large coke too, but here’s your food and three tokens for medium drinks next time”. The food order was missing the large pickle fries and the entire order was cold. The mozzarella sticks were not even melted. The small pickle fries were soggy. Just all around 3 for 3 not good. I won’t be going back. Apparently others feel the same. This is the only fast food in Lago and it’s never busy. That tells a lot!

My favorite thing is the Turtle Blast. I also like to get the Super Sonic breakfast burrito and tots when I am extra hungry in the morning. The carhops are so sweet. Great view of the hills from this Sonic patio too!
I keep meaning to write a review as I'm probably here about once a week. (Totally addicted to their Diet Cherry Limeade lol). I drive all over for my business, so I've visited what seems like hundreds of Sonics all over the place & I honestly believe Lago Vista Sonic is the friendliest of the entire corporation! I've never had a bad experience here (except when their app doesn't work, but no fault of this location.) Thanks for being a friendly staple of this community!

It's dog food. Every time. I have never had a warm fry or tot from this place. Food is cold and soggy. Burger patties are always sub par. I understand they make them in bulk, but I don't want a burger that has sat under a warmer for 25 mins. For reference, I go around 12. It should be busy enough to have fresh warm food. The car hop staff is always friendly. The kitchen staff sucks and takes no pride In the fact that they make food for people. Don't expect edible food from this location.
