Best Cajun food in dfw. By far. Kevin is owner and many entrees are his grandmothers recipes which are crazy good.

We decided to change up our Fat Tuesday plans and make reservations at Mrs Livelys! We are SO glad we did! The food was the best I have had in the metroplex for Cajun! We had delicious hurricanes and met some great people! Good ole New Orleans music and even a little parade around the restaurants! We cannot wait to go back!

I visited this incredible Cajun spot yesterday, and let me tell you, the gumbo was off the charts! Every bite was packed with rich, deep flavors—the kind that hit all the right notes. The owner was super friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. You can tell he truly cares about the food and the customers. And I have to give a special shoutout to the jalapeño ranch—it was amazing. Perfect balance of heat and creaminess, I couldn’t get enough of it! Whether you’re a Cajun food aficionado or a first-timer, this place is a must-try. Can’t wait to come back for more! Highly recommend!

I had their catfish basket and cheese curds at DuQuoin State Fair. Best catfish i’ve had.

Great customer service & even better food . I look forward to their catfish every year at the Illinois State Fair ! With the owners recipes being handed down from his grandma & mom . Those ladies definitely knew what they were doing in the kitchen . 10/10 highly recommend!! If you see them don’t hesitate stop and try , you won’t be disappointed!

Is this place even open anymore? Very disappointed...went there today..Friday at 12:10 .. because hours show 11:00 on Friday...door locked! Was meeting friends there from Carrollton and can`t depend on hours listed! Plus mailbox is full with the phone number listed. Poor business practices! More than likely never return if you don't know and can't depend on the hours listed.. ?

Did not eat. Went there on June 29th at 6:30. The "OPEN" light was on BUT doors locked and no one there. Even their website said they were open for service.

Great food and music ! Small time local place with good seating! Will be back! Gumbo is authentic and delish!

What a hidden gem! A friend invited us to join her for dinner, and we'll be back when we're in the area. The owner greeted us as we were seated and checked in regularly throughout our meal. Fun live music, too!
