Mrs. Livelys Cajun Konnection

Very good food. Great people!!!!

After a full day out on the lake, we decided to stop at Mrs. Lively’s Cajun Konnection for dinner — and it turned out to be the perfect choice. The food was absolutely top-notch from start to finish. The gumbo, étouffée, and blackened catfish were some of the best I’ve ever had — rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care and authentic Cajun soul.

I’m a huge fan of sides, and I would challenge anyone to find better mustard greens anywhere. They were absolutely incredible — tender, perfectly seasoned, and downright addictive. Every bite made it clear why this place has such a loyal following.

As amazing as the food was, it was matched by the outstanding customer service. Kevin, the owner, personally came out to greet us, get to know us, and chat for a while. Service like that is something you just don’t see every day, and it made the whole experience even more memorable.

Whether you’re fresh off the lake or just looking for a fantastic meal with genuine hospitality, Mrs. Lively’s is an absolute must-visit. Can’t wait to go back!

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The staff are super nice and helpful. I had crawfish which were huge and tasted great!!! The flavor is in the crawfish boil which soaks into the crawfish not sprinkled on top like most places will do. Will definitely go back to try some other dishes!!!

Authentic LOU-EEEEE-ZEANA food! Great people! Fun atmosphere! We love the BYOB (saves ya some $!). Best crawfish with 100 miles!

The staff was nice and attentive. The food was perfect.

Attempted to call twice to place order. No answer. Went to restaurant, waited awhile before I was helped. Owner said he and only two other people were working tonight and they’ve been super slammed. Ordered fried shrimp basket, sub fries for mashed potatoes and green beans. Waited about 20 mins for food. Fried shrimp and cocktail sauce was good, very flavorful. Green beans were awesome! Mashed potatoes tasted like powdered mashed potatoes unfortunately. They also forgot my hush puppies which I specifically requested. Overall it was okay, not sure if I will return. $22 before tip for my meal. 😕

**edited to add: all the pictures of your menus state the shrimp basket come with hush puppies… so I’m not sure where “you didn’t ask for them nor were charged” came from. I also specifically told the waitress I wanted hush puppies with it still even though I subbed the fries and added green beans.

Great quality crawfish

Talk about a hidden freakin gem. Food - amazing. Crawfish - amazing. Kevin the owner is such a bright light. You dont come across humans like him often. New local favorite! Yall please come see for yourself!

fresh crawfish, big tails, you can actually eat these without using gloves. Season is in the boil like Louisiana crawfish supposed to be. We didn’t have a bag full of oil and butter like most places. This is legitimately my new favorite place. If you want the southern hospitality feel and good environment, this is the place trust me.

Service was great and the owner was personable. However, the food is just so-so. The serving size is not worth what they charge, in my opinion. They do have BYOB, but I still think that the price is too much for the quality and quantity of food you get. Will likely not come back here 😕

The gumbo was so good!! Crawfish is seasoned, soaked, and spicy. Service was good, will definitely be back!
