Down home country cooking. The service is amazing. It's been 20 years since my last visit, and it was a joy to see Miss Joyce still there. Love her. Good home cooking--especially in a fast food world. The pies are wonderful--but the cinnamon rolls.... Not only do you need to experience a cinnamon roll, but you need to buy a dozen and share that experience with the world...or a co-worker or friend. Wonderful place and a great memory.
I've been here a few times and I really enjoy the food; the staff is friendly. What I did notice, though, was that when I first went in, my waitress was very attentive, but when another group came in, she pretty much didn't come back to check on me other than to bring the check. The only other complaint I have is that the water they serve is the nasty Lake Worth water. I wish they filtered their water better.
They were a little short staffed when we had breakfast there, BUT you would have never guessed it. Ms. Joyce did everything and never missed a beat. The cinnamon roll was nothing short of amazing. I had a perfectly prepared omelet.
