Local staple
I have lived in Lakeway for a while now and I feel like every time I get food from here it’s such a let down. There’s not a lot of places that make eggs Benedict and biscuits and gravy from Whataburger is, well Biscuits and Gravy from whataburger. It really is a bummer when you turn your biscuit over and can’t tell the difference from the sausage and the biscuit because it’s burnt so bad. It also really sucks when there’s almost no hollandaise on your eggs Benedict (one of the few places again that serves it), but your home fries are half way raw. Crunchy potatoes are good sometimes, but not in this way.. for the price you’re charging and quality of food, I’m done. I paid a decent amount of money for this meal and I got burnt. Again.
<Edit>: This was a bad meal. I’m leaving this review because I am tired of purchasing food and then having to drive back with said for a refund. This was bad.

Liked the vibes of this place, old home-town diner energy with outdoor seating, and quiet. Unfortunately there wasn’t a thing else about it we enjoyed. We waited over a half hour to be greeted after we were sat, and then our food came out staggered, forcing us to all eat at different times. The food was bland and not cooked well, everyone’s eggs were majorly overdone, nothing had any flavor and honestly looked terrible. Multiple things were forgotten or delivered incorrectly. Our server barely interacted with us at all. Paid $60 for food that nobody finished. Disappointing.

The food was good. There was a little bit of a mix-up with getting what I ordered but the service staff was friendly. I did find a Shard of glass in my espresso cup and I discreetly let the server know but I don't think I swallowed any glass, luckily. I think I'm okay.

This is my first review but I felt obligated. I write this with hope things can get nicer and better. I went with 2 other men at my suggestion. We went in and sat down. The server greeted us and then went to talk to an older man who must be Glen by the other reviews that talk about this man the same way. Glen or the older gentlemen walked over looked at me and told me that outside drinks were not allowed. And then went further to tell me that we have had this conversation before. Well, Glen we have not. I had not been to this restaurant in over three years. Another gentlemen at out table commented that this was his first time here. I immediately got up with out saying a word and returned my Yeti to my car. From that point forward I felt uncomfortable being there and so was the sentiment of the other two gentlemen. I would highly suggest to do things in a nice way. Just be nice. You do this to enough customers and you won't have to worry about it.

I felt very unwelcome today when GLEN, told me and my child that our beverages weren't allowed in their establishment. Neither of us saw a sign saying "no outside beverages" so as assumed, we thought it was okay. But GLEN told us that it wasn't okay, and that in fact,-"we would cause the whole business to be shut down" (Glen's words) via the health department. Which I'm sure is completely untrue, especially since I work in an establishment that also follows TDLR standards.... GLEN made it so uncomfortable that I almost got in my car and left when my child and I returned our resealable drinks to my car.. Knowing TDLR standards, I'm positive that my child and I, as customers, would have absolutely NOTHING to do with them shutting down.. but GLEN can say whatever he wants, however he wants at lago Cafe. It's his place of employment and he can treat customers however decides without regard to the way he makes customers feel unwelcome.
Because GLEN said what he did, the WAY he did, AND my food ended up tasting like garbage (the potato head) after i walked my gas station beverage out to the car, feeling like i was actually asked to leave and never return, I don't think I'll ever be going back to this establishment.
I got the message that my daughter and I aren't welcome.. and we will be taking that message and not returning. Morning glory is WAYYY better and will absolutely not disappoint.

Workers were very friendly and welcoming , especially the hostess, food was on the bland side without a flavor, maybe because they were busy but in my opinion it’s a one time restaurant to go to, which is bad because it’s very convenient and close to where we staying

I have been a customer for years, from going with my late grandparents, to now, as locals in the neighborhood, our family loves Cafe Lago! Jake's eggs are my go-to order, while the blueberry pancakes are my husband's. The servers are always the same, so it is nice to see the same familiar faces. Plus the rotating wall art that is for sale inside is also a cool addition!

My wife and I went here a couple times . We wanted to find a close restaurant to home to be our go-to place. I'll give a restaurant a second chance , they might just be having a bad day. Well, both visits were probably the worst food we've ever had, and we've been in.some bad places I say try this place, you may get a great a great meal. Judge Cafe Largo yourself, you may love this place!
