The food and service were good. I had the Mama Chole’s plate and it was a lot of food. The carne guisada was tender and very flavorful.My complaint is not food related but I feel it needs to be addressed…the restroom was in need of cleaning, repair, and update. The toilet seat just about came off and the restroom could definitely been cleaner. I understand the building is older but owners need to take pride in keeping their establishment updated and clean in all areas.

We had a late dinner as party of a large group, and the service was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere of the place is honey and welcoming. I ordered the carne guisada and found good seasoning a little bit on the salty side. The fajita plate was well served with good portions.I recommend this place since most of the guests made good comments about their plates
There are not many choices to eat in Leakey, at least not in the winter. The carne quisada was good as were the rice and beans.

If this place had 10 stars....first let me start off by saying we were a party of 8. Service was beyond excellent and they had a full house. We are Hispanic and know what good Mexican food tastes like. Every single dish we got was delicious, tasty, yummy, savoring. I can go on. The Carne guisada is out of this world. Would definitely return.
Homemade enchilada sauce, family owned looking place, with attentive prompt staff. Tips means to insure prompt service and that is what you get here. The best item we saw was the Dave's homemade burritos a hot combination and mix of enchilada sauce and tender carne guisada. A meal for even the most hearty appetites. Also insider tip, ask for the green hot sauce if you have adventure in your palate. Another visit, homemade burritos remain on point.

This that down home cooking style of Mexican food. Not the fanciest, but wow, it's good.Especially the tortillas!The dining area is nice and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The service was quick and efficient. We had a large party and only one slight mistake.The meat was tender, and gravy was well seasoned. The chips were hand-made there as well as their tortillas. It was a great place to stop for some good Mexican food.
