The Hog Pen on 336 BBQ

This was one of our stops with our Corvette Club and it was amazing. The brisket sandwiches were incredibly moist and full of flavor, and the smoked boudin was the perfect bonus—absolutely delicious! Jaret was an outstanding host, making the entire experience even better. The Hog Pen, located on the west side of the Real County Airport runway, offers comfortable outdoor seating and a relaxed vibe. It’s a fantastic spot to enjoy a crisp fall afternoon and an ideal destination for a fly-in. Highly recommend!

I went there a year and a half ago and I still mouth water when I think about the brisket, boudain and chicken we got there. I only went back on its page to see the food again. I live in France and therefore can't go back but I would if I could. The atmosphère is as amazing as the quality of the bbq, and Jarrod was the nicest of hosts. It's heaven on earth.

Very great and tasty brisket beans and sausage. Restaurant sits in a very easy on and off the highway. The landscape is a beautiful setting and the bathrooms are very clean.

I have flown into Leakey many years ago. One of the most scenic flights in Texas. This time came for the bbcue after finding a review on ForeFlight. What a great surprise. Location, atmosphere, food and good chat with owner Jarrod. I willl certainly spread the word among the flying community and will come back soon.

Just grabbed a couple of plates of Brisket and got to me Jaret. Brisket really hit the spot.

This is a must stop for BBQ! The chicken is beyond juicy and flavorful. The sausage and brisket were delicious. You won't go wrong!!! Oh and no grilling mess to clean up if you're enjoying the river.
