It was great. The people were friendly. They served a sampler of the meats available so we could decide what we wanted.
When I mentioned we were celebrating my birthday, they brought out a dessert. Their drinks do not include iced tea, but they had limeade and horcakas(sp?) served in 1 quart wide-mouthed mason jars. Great tasting.

The best Mex-Tex in Leander, blows my mind every time!
Nothing is wilder than a 2-foot taco and a quesadilla the size of a pizza!
You’ll be full, and still have a whole meal for later.
The vibe is awesome, the team is friendly, and I wish I could eat there everyday!

We stopped into Aparicio’s on a whim, and wow—what a pleasant surprise! We were a little unsure at first since we didn’t know what to expect, but from the moment we walked in, the experience exceeded our expectations.

Even with a small line, the host greeted us right away and was super friendly. By the time we got to the front (maybe a five-minute wait at most), he apologized for the short delay and made us feel genuinely welcome. When we mentioned it was our first visit, he brought out samples of all the meats so we could get a feel for what they offered—such a nice touch!

We ended up ordering the California burrito, a few tacos, chips and queso, and their refreshers—dragon fruit and strawberry limeade. Honestly, everything was delicious. The only thing that could’ve made the drinks better is if they came with a splash of vodka—but even without, they were super refreshing.

We’ve been on the hunt for a solid California burrito in the area, and we’re so glad we finally found “the one.” We’ve been back several times since, and Aparicio’s has officially become our go-to spot for Cali burritos.

Our hostess Ana made us feel like family for our first visit to Aparicio. We got samples of the different meat options and ended up picking the Birria Tacos and Steak Pizzadilla. Delicious food that feels like you’re eating at an authentic Mexican home. Thank you Ana and Aparicio!

This place has some of the best tacos in Leander. Even my Mexican boyfriend said they were delicious and that's saying something 😂. I got the traditional tacos al pastor and he got the Texas sized taco with Carne Asada on half and al pastor on the other half. The corn tortillas are homemade and so yummy. I also ordered a horchata and a cucumber limeade with mint which was so refreshing. The owner or staff member helping me was very generous and gave us a free dessert, and the last time I was there for breakfast tacos they let us try some amazing agua frescas on the house and the tacos rocked.

I'll definitely be trying to support this local restaurant a lot more from now on! I wish I'd gotten more pictures of the food but we were starving and devoured them!

**(And added bonus, some cool retro videogames to play while you're there, and a funky retro vibe throughout the place!)
