Pregnant and was really craving some quick fried catfish, so gave this place a shot since it was one of few options. I say, it's on me for going to a chicken place in Texas and expecting cajun catfish lol. I ended up getting the fried okra with, and they were both extremely bland. Despite this, the catfish flavor didn't stand out at all like I expected, which I'm dissappointed by. Just tasted like breading... Be prepared to doctor both with your spice cabinet and insane amounts of hot sauce. The breading was extremely crispy though, and the flavor of the okra itself was prominent. Not what I was expecting, I was hoping for some seasoning to bring out the flavor at least🙏😭 Service was great though.

Their chicken always feels and tastes like it’s been sitting under a heat lamp for HOURS. I got the lemon pepper wings today because they were out of fried legs, and I was very disappointed. No wonder they are never busy.

This is not just the best golden Chick, it is the best fast food location. You can tell the staff if putting 100% in with your stuff. Food is cooked perfectly. Have never had an over cooked piece of chicken. We got a family meal with a huge fried okra. They put a napkin at the bottom to soak up grease. Rolls are always fresh and warm. The place is cleaned perfectly. You walk in and can smell they take care of the place. Every table wiped down and no mess on tables. Staff is always friendly and quick. If you’re the manager and the franchise owner, you should be proud of your staff. I’ve been to fine dining restaurants with worse food and service. Awesome food, good prices and awesome staff.
