This is our 4th time to Guaco Taco. The food and service was great. We have never gone on a Saturday mid day and never eaten inside. We always eat outside on the patio. We picked the wrong day to eat inside. The Texas Longhorns were playing and of course the game was on. It was very busy and the TV was extremely loud. So loud, that we had to shout to speak across the table to family members. It was very difficult to carry on a conversation and my head hurt. I won't do that again.

The food here is phenomenal! The cauliflower chips are a must and jalapeño ranch is on point! Great margaritas and friendly staff with lots of laid back local regulars. Great outside seating area with mister fans and multiple tv’s broadcasting Live sports and one for Trivia. Small outdoor turf area where you can play corn hole and let the kiddos mess around. Now, stop reading my review and go check it out! 😉

Came in for the first time on a Sunday afternoon. The tables could use a wipe down and the menus were hard to read as the text was coming off and mine was dirty with some kind of food.
Cool atmosphere with lots of plants and football on the TV. But there were flies that got annoying.
The wife and I ordered 3 tacos each, two originals (1 beef, 1 chicken), a Meat Monster, The Cure (breakfast), a Shrimp Taco, and a Steak Taco. The OGs were boring with poor seasoning, but the rest of them were really good. The shrimp was simple, but flavorful, but the Meat Monster was so good. Lots of different flavors with the meat, queso, and pico.
I tried the slaw that came on the side and really wish I put it on the shrimp taco as it had the perfect lime and jalapeno flavor that would have boosted it more.
Paid $35 w/tip for the 6 tacos, a water and unsweet tea. I would eat there again, just hope the place is a bit cleaner next time.

5 stars purely for the size of these tacos! Very chill place, good service at a random 2pm afternoon.
Queso is white cheese with very mild pico. The individual serving was perfectly portioned. Definitely get the medium or large for more than one person. Taste was great, and the chips are fried tortilla corners, with very light seasoning.
Mexican Gumbo is a fun and flavorful concept. Basically a Mexican soup with rice and taco meat, corn, diced peppers, I opted for carnitas, and whooo boy, the carnitas here is sensational. Probably not worth the cost, but it's fun to load up onto a chip, and it's a pleasant texture experience.
The Cure comes with a hard fried egg, I'd opt for bacon and soft fried next time. The sausage wasn't worth mentioning.
The Angus Beef was pretty mid, if I'm being honest. Meat was decent, not a lot of flavor, better than some. I'd skip it in favor of the other options.
The meat monster was wild. I understood why they included a fork with my meal. Carnitas, shredded chicken, and ground beef, loaded with cheese and pico. Freaking phenomenal. The most cost effective taco, and sampler of most of the meats. Again, the carnitas being a real standout, but the ground beef has a very strong, very good seasoning. Will likely find an option just to isolate the ground beef option next time.
All of the salsa options were incredibly tame. Not my preference, but were fine. Green sauce has a small tingle. Red sauce is pretty typical, but has the appearance of bite, though it has none. Hawaiian is pure candy - not my preference, but probably really good with a sausage taco.
I'll be back simply for the quantity of food. A couple of meat monsters and I'm good! And I would be curious to bring my kids to try the kiddo options, given the outdoor area for them to wander about.

My rating is for the service and the service ALONE. my parents come here all the time , I’m visiting them from out of town so I decided I would try this place out. Hunter was our waiter and the experience was horrible. He started by taking forever to greet us , then I had to ask him for menus to which he replied “I thought you grabbed them yourself”. Not a single menu was on the table , but moving on. We put in drink and food orders and he went on his way. Did not check on us after that at all. Someone else brought the food. My mom received the wrong order. We waited a while for him to come around just to realize he wouldn’t , then my mom flagged down the manager. Then hunter proceeded to walk over and argue to my mother about what she ordered- absolutely ridiculous. My entire family was stunned. After she got her correct order he did not return until I had to flag him down for the check. I was a server for years and would have never acted like that on my worst day. It’s my mother’s birthday today and she wanted to come to one of her favorite places , and she ended up getting a server that argued with her and ignored her. 1000%% disappointed.
I have tried this place 3 times now and each time I’m reminded why I don’t eat here. I know someone who loves this place so I was trying to understand the hype. Each of the meals I have gotten have been incredibly disappointing. “Cilantro lime rice” was white rice with a sprinkle of cilantro on top. Added some avocado onto 2 tacos and I got 1 slice in each taco and was charged $1 per taco to add it. Dry meat. Got my order wrong too when there was hardly anyone in the restaurant so it can’t be blamed on being busy.
Guaco Taco food tastes like Mexican food made by someone who has never tasted Mexican food in their life. Hopefully the drinks are better.
