I ordered one of the display cakes for my friend’s birthday 4 days in advance and talked with one of the bakers in detail about making a couple of basic customizations. She wrote down the additions I asked for. I simply asked to add pearl sprinkles on the sides, top and around the strawberries, and I asked for an exclamation mark after “happy birthday.” But when I came to pick up the cake, none of these were done. I seriously felt so sad because I wanted to surprise my friend and show the effort I put into customizing a cake for her. The cake they gave me was like they just grabbed it straight out of the display. So disappointed and it really made me sad to be quite honest.

Disappointed the photo doesn't cover the cake, disappointed that they offered to do orange icing to “go with the photo” & I ended up with neon orange icing that does not in fact go with the cake (may have to scrape it off because the orange looks awful), & disappointed that they also asked if I wanted white writing so it would be visible & its. overlapping. white. icing. (plus, there’s a weird space between the names & the writing, all of which unfortunately looks rather ‘slapped on’) instead of being all on the color portion.Overall super bummed about how this cake came out - $45 not well spent, & the moral is probably to be far more specific with my questions & directions & not assume that the cake will turn out beautifully without significant instruction.

The food here is good. I would like to make it my go-to Mexican restaurant but...the service is quite poor. Two times in a row, different servers. They will seat you, take your order, and then disappear behind the green wall. When they emerge from behind the wall they will go out of their way to avoid eye contact. If you ordered from the bar there's a good chance you'll have to wave someone down to get it. If need need napkins or salsa or whatever after you've gotten you food be prepared to go behind the green wall to ask for it. Not going back.

Everything on the menu is so good. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you can't go wrong. It is highly recommended.

I have been a regular at this place for 10 years +. I love there Salsa and Chips! I went there with friends a few days ago and the waiter apparently decided that I was eating too much Salsa and decided to charge me for it without telling me! I had no more than usual and had never been charged for it before. He would not take the charge off the check so I talked with the waitress that was taking payment and she would not take the charge off saying that it was up to the waiter to determine how much salsa I was allowed. She had waited on me and my family many times and had never charged me but she would not take it off my check and was rude with her comments. I told her that I would not be coming back and she said "that is up to you". I am sorry that I will not be going back any time soon. So, if you are a hot salsa lover be careful how much you want as they will charge for it without telling you.
Poor service, poor food. Went for a late lunch and ordered cheese enchiladas. We waited an unusual amount of time for our meal and watched others come in after us and get their food before us. The cheese (cheddar) inside the enchilada wasn’t melted and was tough. It possibly was melted originally but wasn’t when it reached us. Very disappointed.

Asked for a cake with bluebonnets on the side and the flowers do not look like bluebonnets. Also asked them to use blue and I got purple instead... Embarassed to use this cake at our baby shower

MMMMM good, taco salad hit the spot, Quick service and fair prices. You cant go wrong here. If you leave hungry it's your fault.

Good cheap tex-mex food. Tapatia nachos are always good. Nice selection of tortas as well. Service is slow at times but they hustle to get you taken care of.

La Tapatia is good cheap Mexican food. The venue is strip center and the menu is very good. Service is very good as is the food. I enjoy going here for good fast TexMex.
