Just visited Hashtag India from Dallas, the hearth of all iconic Indian restaurants. I tried the juicy Mutton Mandi, the classic chicken lollipops, and jalapeño chicken appetizer, surprisingly all three items tasted better than Dallas alternatives. Aside from the non-vegetarian meals, I tried the jalapeño paneer appetizer and it was on par with its chicken counterpart. Finally, I devoured some of the homemade sweets, especially the Apricot delight. Overall, Hashtag India creates a hospitable environment where family and friends can have a great time with great food.

Taste of the food was below average. And worst part is to get simple dum biryani they take 25 to 30 minutes this is applicable for both dine in and takeout.
I am writing this review after observing for 3-4 times. If required better service hashtag is not recommended

Looks like you are eating on busy street side with 20 people next to you. Very congested place and zero service. Food is good but not the ambience. Take out is your best bet.
This is after 2 years review: Food quality went down the hill very fast. Went to have chat. It’s all very cold that too on cold night. All items served were very cold and chat (pavbaji, chole-batura, ) no taste and lukewarm. The overall experience was terrible.

Ordered Chicken Pulav. Worst pulav I had. It’s like dry white rice with unflavored chicken curry. Yukkk

Good food not the greatest compared to Dallas side for mandi. It's okay. The meats and rice quantities have decreased in the last few months. Reminder there is an 18% gratuity if you are in the booths

Ample seating and the atmosphere was good. We ordered a couple of chicken dishes for dinner carry out. These were the dishes premade and placed in the heater/display. The curries were pretty dried up and tasted okay. Definitely not the taste you would crave for or go back for more.

I ordered the Gongura Chicken Biryani, and unfortunately it was very disappointing. When I informed the girl at the counter, she was rude and dismissive, saying “that’s how it is,” without even asking if I wanted a replacement.
Later, when I again mentioned that the taste was not good, she went inside, discussed it, and only then asked if I wanted a replacement. This kind of customer service is unacceptable.
If customers are treated this way, people will stop coming. I request the owners to take this seriously, monitor staff behavior, and ensure food quality. I’ve heard similar negative feedback from many others as well.

The food was extremely disappointing. The nulli ghost mandi was not good. The chicken biriyanis we ordered was also worse. The quantity of chicken biriyani was awful. The quality of the food was worse.

I am extremely disappointed with the food I ordered today, especially the grilled fish. The fish had a very unpleasant smell and tasted stale. There was no garlic or chili seasoning inside as mentioned, which completely ruined the dish.
I have eaten grilled fish at Hashtag many times and usually had a good experience, but today’s food quality was very bad and unacceptable. Considering the high price, this was a complete waste of my money.
I expect better quality and consistency from your restaurant. Please look into this issue seriously and take appropriate action.

We got cold mutton nalli gosh pieces in mandi, and when asked for redoing the order they brought nalli gosh pieces in chicken gravy and mutton didn’t taste like mutton at all. Wouldn’t recommend going by the hype. The mutton ghee roast pulav was better.

I ordered a family pack of Ghee Roast Mutton Biryani, and it was extremely salty — especially the mutton — to the point of being inedible. I’m not someone who usually leaves reviews or complains, but this was unacceptable, so I called the restaurant to let them know.
They asked me to bring the biryani in so they could check and fix it. When I arrived, three staff members took the food inside and returned in less than a minute claiming it wasn’t salty at all. At that point, I simply told them to keep the biryani and left.
If this is how you handle genuine customer concerns, you are surely going to lose business. Running a business with honesty and care is essential.
