We have driven by hundreds of times but had never stopped to check out La Chaparrita. My wife wanted to try it for dinner and all three of us were happy with what we ordered. They have great food coming out of the kitchen. All their tacos are good, but their tacos al pastor are always on target and my go to. Their menudo is full of flavor. The meat market offers traditional cuts and I've never had any issues with anything I buy here. However, this last time, their tamales Veracruzanos needed some attention. The masa needs to be better incorporated with the lard to remain firm and not crumbly. I did find a rib bone in one and not much pork rib...
I had order maza for flour tortillas and went to pick it up at 0555hrs but they didn't open the store until 0638hrs just to find out that they didn't even have my order 😡😡😡.
They told me to come back after 1000hrs. First time coming here and I already don't like the way they are organized. 😡😡
