I really like this place. The foods always good, the drinks are always solid pours. They have live music pretty often. Definitely go.

I'm a traveling musician so I cger to perform at some of the coolest places. While tucked away in the Hill Country Maggie Mae's borrows class and style brim it's Downtown namesake. Country Style cooking with a smile. Awake changing their specials to add a surprise to the menu. They also host Live music and an open mic. Definitely worth a visit if you want that Austin Vibe without the traffic Maggie Maes is your place.

The food was very average. We had mushroom Swiss burger the beef was cooked how we ask for medium. It was good however, if the first word is mushroom, you may put mushrooms on the burger. They were very little chopped up sautéed mushrooms. Hardly knew they were there and there was very little Swiss cheese on the burger.
It was average.
Ordered their. sopapilla chips with honey - they were very hard, stale very little honey asked for more, honey. They took them back to the kitchen and added very little more, honey. Not a good menu item. We should have returned them, But did not!Highly recommend to avoid this item.! Even rosa‘s taco Café gives you your own bottle of honey To use!
Finally, they have I guess the new trend of giving you a bill with no itemized receipt a suggested tip and you pay tips on the taxes? And then I did ask for a printed bill. It’s still not itemized as to what we purchased and to top it off, there’s a credit card surcharge! Won’t be going back!
Apparently, A new trend in restaurants for you to pay the bill electronically at your table before ever seeing an itemized bill of what you purchased and now paying a credit card surcharge. Isn’t the vast majority of their payment on credit card? That is a bad deal for the consumer!

My wife and I visit the pub almost weekly. We love seeing Rachel at the bar and the rest of the bar staff is great also. Live music is top notch. Food is good also.

We’ve been coming here since it opened. It was great in food, atmosphere and service when Jake was the “manager” and John was the cook. It used to have a friendly small town vibe to it and the staff was always welcoming and helpful. Not so much anymore. Rachel, the bartender is fine, but she’s obviously overworked. It’s understaffed and the cook is always behind. While others think the food is great, we noticed a big change when John left and this cook took over. Tonight we waited for almost 30 minutes for food (one hamburger)and then found out he had given it to someone else, with no apology. We ordered again and waited another 25 minutes. While the place has had a slight update with new seating and more arcade games, they really need to hire more staff. It’s a shame that it’s not the same place, we enjoyed going there.
Owners: do better.

I stop by Maggie Mae’s in Leander many times. I recommend to sit at the bar for best service and I mostly go for drinks. It’s a fun place to sit and drink or be social or meet new people. Friendly cute bartender too. Tip well they remember you.

The bartender Rachel was a delight and was very informative about the menu and how she runs the place. I did not stay long enough to try out the food. But the food look absolutely delicious on the menu, unfortunately, I will never be back in this establishment to ever try the food but I encourage you to go.Try it out for yourself and see what kind of experience you have. I was gaslit by the owner during the intake process of being hired. I would stay far away from this place unless you enjoy working for a narcissist. And the gaslighting continues as she is replying below.
We just discovered Maggie Mae's for the first time last night. The food was really good. I liked the fish and chips and my wife loved the Monte Cristo sandwich. My son liked that they had some games and pool table. It was open mic night, and there were some really good performers. They even let my daughter borrow a guitar and play a few songs. We will definitely be back.

Been here twice. Once had good service and food, the other time someone said they’d be right over and then we sat thru three songs while they tended to all the bar customers coming in. Guess we should have joined that line, but eventually we just walked and went next door. Good music tho. Probably short staffed but there were empty tables when we arrived. Will think twice before coming back on a Friday/saturday

We ordered wings, onion rings. My boys got fries. Everything was extremely salty. Was not a big fan. The place was nice and great customer service.
