Just loved this little place.
Loved the candy pairing flight!!! Awesome vibes and great beer! Nachos were delicious.
I will be coming back. This place has some fine beer on tap and the food isn't bad either. An added experience is the roastery operations which you can view through the window. I haven't tried their coffee yet, so that review is pending.
Overall 8.4/10, the coffee was good (latte, Mocha) and the service was good as well for being decently busy. Coffee was out in 5min and our breakfast tacos were out in 10min. The food was really good in my opinion and so was the coffee. The atmosphere fits the aesthetic; and it’s not as loud as you would expect for being a coffee shop and a Brewery. Red Horn has wifi for studying or work, or maybe if you want to watch a sports game on your phone. Going back to atmosphere this place is very versatile in a way that you can study, drink beer and converse, do work, watch college football.
Cons: The restroom was a little on the dirty side and when we sat down none of the tables had been wiped off really. So there were crumbs where we set. Not a big deal ended up wiping it off myself. Wife had to have more chocolate for her Mocha because it literally tasted like my latte. Again 8.4/10 would recommend, and will continue to come back!
Most of the time the food is good, but sometimes it's not
The ambience and offerings are wonderful here. This is a great place to come work, meet friends or just enjoy the calming vibes. Worth a visit at least once, and it’s right near Facilities Resource, Inc., so you could grab a coffee before heading there for an event!
Is a usual stop spot when coming to North Austin
DISGUSTING. NOT GOING BACK. I went in today for my usual two tacos and coffee like I always did a few times a week. There was a young woman at the counter placing an order while holding a dog with one arm against her chest and holding her phone with the other hand. Her other hand was also touching the dog and the keypad for making payment. They were standing four feet from the espresso machine and about 6-8 feet from the kitchen. The dog's rear end is facing the kitchen and his feet are practically touching the counter where food and drinks are served. I told the woman that this is a food establishment and that dogs are not allowed inside per the large sign at the entrance. I asked her to be respectful of other customers in the coffee shop. She dismissively said she needed to place an order and then turned around and ignored me. No apology, no urgency to remove the dog, nothing. After she left, I asked the staff person if they ever tell customers to take out their dogs. She said they do. Well then why take her order? Ask her to remove her dog from the shop and come back. They simply don't care about the health and comfort of their customers. They just want to take their money. Not from me anymore. I was disgusted, so I said 'never mind' and walked out of the store. Knowing how they allow animals so close to drinks and food, I am never going back there.
We really like this place (and it's sister location on Parmer). We got the queso (good, but not great) tacos (the avocado taco is probably the best taco I've had in Austin. Pretty impressive for a place that's not actually a Mexican restaurant), a beer (very good), and a cold brew (also very good). Great atmosphere. And the people who work here are very friendly. Highly recommend!
Brook is amazing - coffee is always great!

Coffee + Beer...need I say more?
New Red Horn brewery location that we fell in love with ! We are regulars at the Parmer lane Red Horn and wanted to do a detour to this new location in Leander . Man we were surprised how good this one is! They have the same wonderful beer and coffee, but also amazing tacos and sides that the other location does not have ! The tacos were great and the beer was good as always . The Prosecco Rita was refreshing . They have WiFi internet and good live music on some days ! Will start going here regularly for the good food, service and ambiance .
Best coffee in town
Great place to meet with friends. Staff is friendly, they have a wide variety of beverages, and the food is great. I just wish we could bring our pooch who likes to hang with us.
My husband and I shared their loaded nachos one afternoon at their Leander location, and they were delicious. A few weeks later, we placed an online order of the loaded nachos for pick up. Under “special instructions” on their online order website, I requested them to separate the queso mix from the chips so that they would still be crispy when we got them home. I also asked them to put the jalapeños on the side, because I cannot handle spicy foods well. Easy instructions, but completely ignored. :( There is nothing worse than soggy chips that soaked up all for queso, so it was impossible to salvage the meal, which is sad when you spend $16. The Carne Asade was tender, so I give them credit for that! My recommendation is to not order this item to go… and don’t expect them to read your “special instructions”.
I wanted to post a picture but was unable to.
