Wayback Burgers

Food is delicious and staff is friendly! Good portions too!
I ordered to go and they numbered my burgers on the receipt and they numbered each burger so I didn’t have to dig through each burger trying to find out which one belonged to who.
Definitely will be going back!

I love having a hand crafted burger place so close, but they don't have it together at time of this review. Person taking order did not know how to work register, one of the guys came upbfrom the kitchen to help but was a bit rude, and although they had plenty of staff (people standing around) the catsup bottles on the table and Tea decanters were almost empty. I ordered 2 classic cheeseburgers, 1 french fry and 2 Teas - bill came to $30 - and the burgers were not as good as what you get at other similar burger places. It was tasty and easy served quickly but not that great a value. I hope they can correct things because we need an alternative to fast food, prefab burger huts!

The food was decent, but we had a disappointing experience with the service. The young man who took our order was incredibly sweet, and it was clear he was doing his best, he told us it was his first day and it was busy. Despite his efforts, two different employees interrupted him multiple times while taking our order—three times, to be exact—to publicly criticize him over small mistakes. At one point, when he asked one of them for help, they told him to find someone else. It was uncomfortable to watch and came across as unnecessarily harsh. He was trying so hard, and I truly hope he finds a more supportive environment. We won’t be returning, it was stressful

Stopped in at 7:47pm.. three orders a head of me. By 8:21 the people who were waiting when I walked in were still waiting for their order. With work looming I decided to give up. I let them know at the counter I had to run, just give my order away and left.

More irritated than I paid the tip upfront than anything else. Not even an apology or an offer of a refund.

If I could give them a zero I would, I haven't had such a bad experience at a restaurant in a long time. This tops as one of the WORSE experiences. We should've known better since we pass by it all the time and it never looks busy.

Since it opened this is my first time coming, I checked the menu and was really excited about trying one of their burgers (the first pic i posted, doesnt look anything like I ordered, I did ask for a single patty but it looks like they just threw it together.) It wasn't that busy for a Friday night. It took almost 40 minutes to get 3 burgers for $40. I wad so close to just asking for a refund because it was taking forever. Got home and the food was crap. The burger didn't look anything like the picture and was worse than any kind of fast food restaurant and the fries were dry, no flavor, super pily and hard. Save your time and money!

Very clean and convenient place to grab breakfast while getting windshield replaced. Unfortunately they should stick to burgers rather than breakfast. I had to order at a kiosk, no coffee was available to order. Maybe I just overlooked it but the only person available to ask was cooking. I ordered a simple biscuit and gravy and iced tea. I managed to sift through the grease for a few bites of the biscuit (which was less than average), but the gravy was inedible. I haven’t tried their hamburgers but I’m betting they’re a bunch better than this.

They close before opening hours and treat customers who arrive after 8:45 very badly.

Our servers was not the best and friendly. The fries were cold and soggy.

Forgot one of our Burgers, went to order another one. Pissed the staff of 5 off as they were busy chatting it up. Cheese curds were rock hard. Dirty table, Greasy fries.

Burger was pretty bad with a nice soggy bun not worth the price.I would suggest eating from a high school cafeteria as the food would be better

I come to Wayback Burger Leander all the time, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently exceptional—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. What truly stands out, however, is the incredible customer service. The staff are always attentive and genuinely friendly, which makes each visit enjoyable. Additionally, the restaurant is always spotless, contributing to a great overall experience. Highly recommend Wayback Burger for anyone looking for a consistently excellent meal and a fantastic dining experience!

Only ordering is through a billboard even during rushes. I had to leave during my most recent visit because people were struggling with it and no one was helping. Floor is sticky all over on multiple visits, and location is uncomfortably hot. Food was okay in previous visits, greasy but okay, milkshakes in the past were partially melted.

Just moved to the area and went to try this place out today for lunch. It was fantastic! The service was great. The cashier was super helpful and answered all the questions I had, and had solid reccomendations. The burgers themselves took about 20 minutes to arrive, but were well worth the wait. We got the ghost pepper burger, spicy cheese curds, fried pickles, and classic burger with fries. We loved the place and will definitely be back!

Kid-friendliness: We have toddlers. There are 2 high chairs in the restaurant, no booster seats though. Was pretty kid friendly given the size.

Wheelchair accessibility: There are handicap spots on the side of the building with a ramp. The door does not have an automated button.
