Wayback Burgers

Nice place, I've been wanting to check it out because it is on my way home. Unfortunately they put nasty lettuce in my burger. For me, fresh veggies are absolutely important. Oh well, I'll have to drive out of my way to Sharks Burgers. I have never had an issue there. I always wish everyone the best though. ✌️💕

I ordered from them and it looked like somebody sat on my sandwich and all the breading was completely off of my chicken. Both of the drinks had hardly any ice in them and I watched the delivery so they can’t blame it on how long that took.

Then when I called, nobody answered. This business should shut down now they’re ridiculously bad service.

I am currently standing here on “National Burger Day” waiting for two classics and a fry where they only have four employees working. One up, front two in the kitchen and a floater who is snacking on some items on with her food service gloves still on, in between cooking fries and staring at the receipt print outs all the while not taking the next guests at the counter where five people are waiting. It’s 5:21.

We tried this place, and it’s dead. No music at all, no energy. It’s been over 30 minutes.

Customer service was so bad, and the food was not good. I asked if they could remake it, and he got mad, so I left and asked for a refund. They didn't want to give one at first, but it was the right thing to do at this point and I got one thank you Lord for me to be patient with people that wanted to feel some way about my food being wrong

Stopped by Wayback Burgers for an early Sunday lunch, and wow, what a fantastic experience! The atmosphere was awesome—clean, inviting, and perfect for a laid-back meal. The staff was excellent, super friendly, and made us feel right at home.

The food? Absolutely spot on. The burgers, cooked to order on a flat top, reminded me of a Smashburger but with that extra made-to-order freshness. Every topping was perfect, and the burger itself was juicy and flavorful. The fries and tater tots were pure perfection—crispy on the outside, warm and tender inside. The value here is unbeatable for the quality and portion size.

If you’re looking for a great burger joint with top-notch food and a welcoming vibe, Wayback Burgers is the place to go. Highly recommend!

I see negative reviews about takeout or delivery. IMO the only way to judge a burger/service is by dining in and partaking fresh off the flat top.

Wayback Burgers in Leander was a letdown. I wanted a break from the usual McD’s or Sonic and figured I’d try this spot. First red flag, had to download an app and hand over way too much personal info just to order. Lunch was a tea, double cheeseburger, and fries. Total? Twenty-six bucks. At that price, I expected something next-level.

When I showed up, the place was dead. No one at the counter. One guy glued to his phone, another hollered from the kitchen and tossed me my bag. No welcome, no thanks, no vibe at all. The food? Burger was meh, honestly below Sonic. Fries were forgettable, and even though I picked ketchup in the app, none came with the order. Only win was the iced tea.

Overall, overpriced, zero hospitality, and an average burger at best. Not worth the hype, or the app download.

This was my first time at way back burgers, and it was a great experience. The service was fast and friendly, and the burgers were excellent- perfectly cooked with crisp fresh fries. Wonderful first visit, I’ll definitely be coming back.

1st time here. It was Excellent.
Guy taking our order was phenomenal, great customer service.
Food was really good and they came by making sure everything was done right and tasted good.
