Best Bush's in San Antonio. Order is always fresh and correct. Never have to wait long even when they are super busy.

Ordering gizzards takeout, waited in line for 10 mins before someone came out to take my order with one person ahead. Finally got my order to find there was barely in gizzards in there. The gravy not gravy, it may as well be soup. My fault for not checking before I drove off. I used to came here all the time in high school but it has definitely tanked in the service and quality of food they sell. If you still want bushes, go to the one on huebner. This location should be closed and I’m not one write a lot of reviews but this visit was it. Repeat issues, I will happily drive farther to another location over this one. Location lost my business, owners and management should be ashamed of this trash location.

The food quality is highly suspect. I believe the cleanliness of their cooking oil is the reason. I've never seen an oil collection vehicle at their location.
We almost always get the family tender special and more often than not, the Mac end cheese is dry and not fresh, the rolls are forgotten, and the chicken is rubbery. I really wish the quality was better because we used to love their meals.

Bush’s Chicken continues to deliver where it counts: the chicken is hot, flavorful, and consistently well-seasoned, and their gizzards are some of the best you’ll find anywhere—crispy, generous, and cooked just right. If you’re craving classic comfort fried chicken, they nail it every time.

However, be prepared for the cost. Their prices are already on the higher side for fast-casual chicken, and on top of that, they add a 3% “service fee” to your total. It’s not a huge amount, but it’s enough to make you pause—especially when the food is already premium-priced.

If you’re going for taste alone, Bush’s delivers. But take it to go. I’ve noticed a faint “sour mop” smell in the air the last few visits. Either they aren’t cleaning the mop heads very well or the whole store needs a deep cleaning. Whatever you decide, just keep the extra fee in mind so there are no surprises at checkout.

This place stinks… literally. STINKS! Smells like a locker room from when I was in middle school. Old water. Aside from that the ceiling fans and water stained ceiling tiles were a nice view. Food cold, can’t really ruin chicken so it was okay. Did I mention it stinks in here?

10 pieces of Chicken for $30.00. No problem.
But the quality does not match the price. The size of the chicken legs and wings were despicable. All of the chicken was cold and we live 3 minutes from that location. Never ever again! Goodbye Bush’s chicken… point blank you lost our business 4 life!

This server Angie messed up my order and then when I called to speak to the manager she gets on the phone and said something completely different. She said at 1st the meal came with 2 sides then on the call she said no it came with 1 side. Shady people like that. I paid $35 for this horrible service.

I placed an order for pick up over the phone and the individual who answered the phone was very kind. It’s not very often you receive great customer service from restaurants over the phone these days.

Put an order in for a 15 piece chicken online and it was supposed to be ready in 20 minutes
Showed up to pick up my order and said I had to wait another 20 more minutes because they don't have any chicken ready..
They then tell me they don't make online orders till the customers show up for pickup...
Never again

This restaurant location is pretty dirty. It really needs a deep clean especially in the kitchen area. There is a sewage stench througout the dining area. It is not very enticing to eat here. My question is: Do the owner(s) or upper management come to this reataurant? And if they do, do they think it is satisfactory to eat here. I don't and won't again you can be certain with that.

Past couple of weeks I’ve been getting tender Tuesdays and the chicken has had bones in the breading. Not exactly safe when you bite into what is supposed to be chicken tenders and a hard bone hits your tooth or goes sideways into the roof of your mouth. But they do have great sweet tea and the chicken is usually delicious plus the rice and beans are good and have some good flavor. The baked chicken if you can get it is usually very flavorful.
