If you want the definition of a dive bar, this is it. Food was absolutely awful. I swear they just buy a bag of pre-made chicken wings from Costco and mark them up and sell them. It was served with wilted and bleached celery that still had the leaf on top.Fried pickles were razor thin and 90% batter that was absolutely disgusting. I feel like the batter was left out over the week because it really tasted "off". In addition to that it was served on top of wilted and disgusting shredded kale for some reason as a garnish. Totally unnecessary and unappetizing.

By far my favorite bar. Food and drinks are always on point and staff is beyond friendly most are like family. Raizel was super sweet and gave me my order super fast and checked on me throughout the night. Highly highly recommend.

True story: The bartender had a friend who was a patron. The bartender and her were taking shots racking up a tab. I paid my tab, left a $100 tip because I felt sorry they were working on July 4th and I'm a nice guy who has bartended on holidays in the past. I was only there for an hour. The bartender's friend stole my debit card to pay her and the bartender's bill. I caught them and an argument ensued. They finally refunded me the money after several minutes and said it was no big deal and that I was the problem for having an issue with it. They asked me to leave which is what I was trying to do until they stole my card. So when they asked me to leave, I went out to the parking lot to wait on my uber. Instead of taking the L with the argument like an adult, the manager who watched her employee drink while working and steal from me followed me outside to continue the argument and to tell me to get out of their parking lot. I was not on their property anymore and was waiting on my uber. The parking lot is shared by several other businesses so it's not their parking lot. He thought it was, so he called the police. They lied and made up things to try to get me in trouble. These people are disgusting trying to protect a thief and drinking on the job and trying to take advantage of my generosity. I couldn't believe it and you cannot make this type of stuff up. I dare the owners upload the security footage from that night to youtube 07/05/2023 1:35 am. They won't because they're pieces of Sh and know they're wrong and thieves. That was my first time there and only went because it was on Bar Rescue. Now I know why it was on the show to begin with and they have disgraced John Taffer

I've visited Drunken Donkey for many years now and it seems like it's going downhill. While drinks are decent, the service is terrible. Having to wait for 20 minutes then going to the bar and ask for help when it's not that busy, isn't acceptable. Waitresses looking annoyed when ordering, isn't acceptable. The food is very good here though. Please, retrain your waitresses.
