The food was so good. Best pancakes I’ve had in a long time. They are so big and my 2 yr old ate a short stack by himself. The service was great and our server Barbie was amazing. The food is reasonably priced and I can’t wait to come try some of their other food items.

Really great price for the ammount of food. 13 dollars(rounded up) for Roast Beef, Macaroni, red beans, and Mashed potatoes. Light on the salt, and the cornbread is a little bland, but the servers are attentive and the food is well prepared.

This is a quintessential American diner. When you walk in, it's like every great diner you've been to your whole life. Chicken Fried Steak - very good. Biscuits - excellent. Soft and dense. Gravy - very good. Pancakes - excellent. These are heavy, not light and fluffy. But they are really good. Cinnamon roll: good Eggs - ordered over easy, came out over medium -hard. Bacon - really good Sausage - good Mac-n-cheese - very good. (Son says, "it slaps." It's fast paced, busy, packed, and yet the service was great. Go in expecting a diner experience with good food and you will get it.

I love this spot! The history and longevity are fantastic! The food and service are always wonderful! The menu is extensive! Breakfast, lunch and dinner options any time of day. I appreciate that during high volume times they always have runners and bussers helping the wait staff! They all work so well together, each doing their specific part. I highly suggest this fantastic locally owned and operated Lewisville gem!
January 2024: Lewisville location of well known local icon eatery keeps up the family standards. Food was good, served hot, and fast. Staff always works hard to check on everybody. Storefront building on a cold rainy day was warm but still a bit drafty. NOT a reason to avoid, just be aware and come anyway. Definitely worthy of weekly visits, or maybe more as prices are very good for portions and quality in the current economy. You won't leave still hungry or with an empty wallet.
