We had an awesome meal at Moonglow and would highly recommend this place. It's the closest we have found that is similar to a Michelin Star restaurant. Every plate was unique and well integrated with the others. I was impressed that Chef Imamura came over to our table and ask our opinion. He's a very nice and humble guy who legitimately cares about what we think. Very nice evening. Thanks for a great experience.

A fantastic experience. My fiancée and I went for our 1 year anniversary and are so happy with our decision. We did the chef's tasting menu and all of the dishes were excellent. Our server explained the dishes nicely and they came out with a very good pace. After our final course, the chef came out to the table to greet us and even surprised us with a bottle of wine for our anniversary. Overall, this was an incredible evening that very much justified the price. We will certainly be going back at some point once we have some more money saved up, and will be checking out the chef's ramen place next door in the meantime because the pasta dish was one of the best of the evening. The Japanese wagyu steak and appetizer plate with small tuna, salmon, and tofu dishes were also among our favorites.

My son and I went on a Thursday for the summer event experience. We were the only ones there for the 7:00 seating, so we had the whole place to ourselves! Everything was perfectly executed and delicious. The menu changes depending on market availability and whatever is fresh. Who knew Italian-Japanese fusion was a thing, but it worked very well. Highly recommend.

Great restaurant! Chef Akira is amazing and his skills are shown off with each dish. The service is amazing also. Servers were super attentive to anything we needed or if we had any questions. Highly recommended for date night or any type of event or just even a nice dinner out.

Wow. Chef Akira Imamura is just amazing - we truly enjoyed this experience at Moonglow. Very small setting, excellent service, and afterwards Chef came out and wanted to hear how we liked the meal. We had the prix fixe menu: sashimi carapaccios, spaghetti entres, and then either the Salmon main or Pork/Beef meatball main. Chef provided his famous Tiramisu for dessert. Everything was amazing. We'll be back!

We had a wonderful experience for our anniversary dinner. Perhaps the pacing between courses could be slower to allow for better savoring of each course. Chef Akira is passionate about cooking, and his plates reflect his love for the kitchen. Highly recommended!

One of the best restaurants in North Texas. The service is amazing. Chef Akira seems to genuinely enjoy serving amazing dishes to his customers, and he always shows his appreciation for our service. Every dish he serves is high quality, and he sources his ingredients from Italy and even Japan. He's always excited to ask his customers to give him dish suggestions upon their next reservation. Chef Akira and the team are passionate and it shows!

Absolutely the best Italian Japanese fusion restaurant in Texas. Taste is beyond description, interior is nice, quiet and cozy. Good for special occasion such as bday and anniversary.

Excellent experience, and the food was out of this world! We got the tasting menu...7 courses, and the chef added one to make it 8!! And they're not small bites, these are normal portions.... So bring your appetite! These dishes aren't what you'd find just anywhere, the style and techniques Chef uses are a once and a lifetime experience.

MoonGlow is such a unique experience in the area. My wife and I always do the coursed menu option. Chef Akira uses quality ingredients, many of them from Italy and Japan, and consistently prepares the most wonderful dishes. The entire team is welcoming and attentive, and they really go the extra mile to make it feel like the fine dining experience. I recommend the wine pairings, as Chef Akira has a good taste for wine, and I always come away with a new wine to try each time I go. I cannot wait to go back!

Moonglow Dallas in Castle Hills is so special. Each dish is lovingly cooked, the combinations are simple and exquisite, and the experience has been wonderful every time my husband and I have gone. Chef is a master of his craft and the staff is inviting and friendly. It’s the most delicious Japanese-Italian food I’ve ever had. The kimchi carbonara is truly one of a kind, the wagyu beef is buttery and melts in your mouth, and each time the menu has included something new and exciting. I have been to Moonglow 4 times and can’t wait to come back next time.

Akira has done it again. He has expanded his ramen business, but this time it's Asian and Italian fusion. He takes the best qualities of Japanese and Italian foods and combines them. We ate to our hearts content, and easily could have just had a couple courses. Excited to visit him again.

I came here for desert and it’s amazing, Yoshi took care of us like we were family. Desert was very light, fluffy and satisfying. The perfect pairing to us having Ramen next door. Desert was perfectly prepared, and the atmosphere was very posh. Perfect for date nights or formal events. Highly recommend! This is a hidden gem.
