Akira has done it again. He has expanded his ramen business, but this time it's Asian and Italian fusion. He takes the best qualities of Japanese and Italian foods and combines them. We ate to our hearts content, and easily could have just had a couple courses. Excited to visit him again.

I came here for desert and it’s amazing, Yoshi took care of us like we were family. Desert was very light, fluffy and satisfying. The perfect pairing to us having Ramen next door. Desert was perfectly prepared, and the atmosphere was very posh. Perfect for date nights or formal events. Highly recommend! This is a hidden gem.

A wonderful experience, very intimate and personal. Every course was exceptional and the wine pairing was spot on. Chef Akira visited our table at the end of our meal and it clear how passionate he is. Thank you, it was a very special evening!

Wonderful experience! Very intimate and personal atmosphere. The menu was fantastic and the wine pairing was spot on. Chef stopped by our table and it is very obvious how passionate he is about his craft. Would one hundred percent recommend!

Moonglow Dallas in Castle Hills is so special. Each dish is lovingly cooked, the combinations are simple and exquisite, and the experience has been wonderful every time my husband and I have gone. Chef is a master of his craft and the staff is inviting and friendly. It’s the most delicious Japanese-Italian food I’ve ever had. The kimchi carbonara is truly one of a kind, the wagyu beef is buttery and melts in your mouth, and each time the menu has included something new and exciting. I have been to Moonglow 4 times and can’t wait to come back next time.

Cozy restaurant, perfect for quiet intimate dates. We came on a very cold day and had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Menu is a prefixed 5-6 course meal for $100, and changes each week. The service is impeccable. Waiter cleared the table and gave us each course right after we were finished with the previous one and filled our water constantly. Because it was so cold out the chef gave us extra courses to warm us up and brought out a portable heater for us.The food was very delicious, salmon carpaccio well balanced with the amount of uni and caviar, wagyu beef very soft and well seasoned, noodles perfectly el dente and kimchi taste not too heavy in the kimchi carbonara, tiramisu is the best I’ve ever tasted. You can really tell the chef cares about his customers as he came out to greet us when we were done with the meal and thanked us for coming despite the cold weather. I will definitely come back again to try out his other dishes, highly recommend!!

I absolutely loved my experience at MoonGlow from start to finish. Every single part of my meal was amazing -- the food, the service, and the atmosphere! I just had to come home and write a review.Ambiance: The restaurant is very cute and has a warm vibe. It was 14 degrees and there were flurries outside, and the chef warmly opened the door to let us inside and even brought out a personal space heater to put next to our table because he thought we might be too cold. He and the waiter continued to apologize about the restaurant being cold, but my friend and I were perfectly warm and had no complaints.Service: With each course the table was promptly cleared and my water glass was never empty. Our server gave us fun and interesting facts about our dishes and was very, very attentive!Food: Each and every course was delicious. The chef even made a few extra dishes for us because he was worried we were cold and wanted to warm us up!For antipastos, we received a gnocchi antipasto with some to-die-for bread that was incredible, and an amazing salmon/uni/caviar antipasto with a lemon infused cream, olive oil, and sprouts that I really enjoyed. Then we were provided the best kimchi carbonara I have ever had, with perfectly cooked al dente noodles and a flavor that wasn't too heavy so I could eat every bite.I was honestly decently full at this point, but the next dish was a lovely wagyu beef with mashed potatoes that I ate more than half of because it was so delicious I couldn't stop putting it in my mouth. We got to see the steak before it was cooked, and it was beautifully marbled!I am not a dessert person because I don't like sweets, but this was the best tiramisu I have ever had and even though I was full I basically cleared my plate. It was fluffy with a delicious cream that was not too sweet and complemented the moist cake perfectly.I honestly cannot say enough good things about my experience dining here, and I can't wait to make my next reservation. It was worth every penny and more and I would brave freezing weather again and again just to eat here. Thank you so much to the chef and staff at MoonGlow! It was such a delight and treat to dine here tonight!

Very impressed with the food! Ordered the 3 course which was three full plates, a lot of food that have enjoyed as leftovers for a couple of meals. Japanese chef/owner is still learning about American portion size.

Chef always put a lot of thought into his dishes and it shows because everything he makes is delicious. He uses high quality ingredients so it’s worth the price.

It’s really great to see a professional have a true LOVE for his craft! Yoshi and Chef Akira are a great team and love to share a wonderful experience at MoonGlow. All of our courses were delicious and complemented each other very well. The wine pairings are also a great treat to enjoy with your meal. I would recommend for sure. Oh, and the intimate environment makes you feel a little more important during the indulging.

Cozy restaurant with reservation only accommodation. Friendly and helpful service from Yoshi and the 5 course tasting options - simply mind blowing with flavors and taste and presentationThe smoked salmon, the kimchi carbonara, the fresh and seared tuna and finally the main entree the A4 wagyu beef in that Japanese bbq sauce was flavor after flavor explosion. Chef Akira completed this flavor journey with a whimsical tiramisu - everything was delicious and must try

The quality of food was not worth the $100 per person price point. Don’t get me wrong, the atmosphere and service were on point. But if you want to spend $100, I suggest you do it elsewhere. Seems like a poor attempt at japanese italian fusion. We only liked a few of our dishes.

Very disappointed this establishment won’t allow reservations for a single diner. I’d love to update the review if I’m ever able to get a reservation but currently they will only book if there are at least two people
