Nice place for Kareoke..but food menu needs help

Went to this place @ 9 on a Saturday and they were closed. There were 2 huge signs out front that said “we’re open” but they were not. It was disappointing.

This is very interesting place. Best bachenato I have ever hear. This is place is better than Las Palmas. Very much recommended . Not soo crowded and best music to enjoy.
The music timing are from 11 to 12:30 ish

Vegetarian options: You will have plantains to eat and beans and rice.

The food was terrible and super greasy. Staff was nice but slow. As a Colombian this is NOT Colombian food. There are several other Colombian restaurants with authentic delicious food and this is not one of them. Don’t recommend at all.

Paying for a mini tray paisa deasbrida, a patacon with medium meat, two colas and a little Coca-Cola soda 78 dollars and additionally they charge a mandatory service or more than 11 dollars... additional tip is left from 18% expensive for the quality of food, two-star service…expensive for what they have.
Prune: your menu is a half-printed paper, it has no variety of food…. Not repeating this place is my option to follow!!

If you want to watch the game with authentic Columbian food you should come here. They are all so wonderful and make you feel like you are a part of the family. The service was great l. Especially, in the middle of a soccer game. They decorated perfectly for the game and made it a very special experience.

I had the pleasure of visiting El Anchor, an authentic corner of Colombia in the heart of the city. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was about to experience something special.

The restaurant's atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with decor that pays homage to Colombia's rich culture and traditions. The walls are adorned with colorful paintings and crafts, and background music creates a vibrant and happy atmosphere.

The menu is a true feast for the senses, offering a wide variety of traditional dishes. I started my meal with some crispy and perfectly seasoned empanadas, accompanied by a spicy chili sauce that provided just the right touch of spiciness. Then, I feasted on a tumba paisa, an emblematic dish that included beans, rice, ground beef, chicharrón, ripe plantain, fried egg, and arepa. Every bite was an explosion of flavors, perfectly balanced and cooked to perfection.

The service was exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and always willing to explain the ingredients and preparation of the dishes, which was especially helpful for those unfamiliar with Colombian cuisine. The team's dedication and passion are reflected in every aspect of the restaurant.

For dessert, I couldn't resist trying the tres leches, a moist and sweet cake that was the perfect ending to an incredible meal.

In short, El Anchor is more than a restaurant; It is a cultural and culinary experience not to be missed. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic and delicious Colombian food.

Always come here and the staff is so great. Yulissa, Natalia and the rest are the best. So friendly , attentive and smiling. I always come back.
