I've had their bbq since I was a kid and it's always been amazingthru the years. But today I had someone pick up an order for me of 2 lbs sliced bbq for a family function out of town I was going too. When it arrived I opened the box... it was a bunch of mutilated bark chunks and so much of it was inedible. I was so furious that this young man at the counter even sold this crap that he tried to serve as sliced bbq. The owners would have NEVER sent this out to anyone like that so...read full review
I ate here all the time when the Casstevens family owned it and they were on the Texas Monthly BBQ radar. Had a couple of bad trips after the ownership change, but gave it a try today, and I was really glad I did. The brisket on my sandwich was moist and delicious (no sauce for me). The portion was just right for a normal human, and the lunch special came with a bag of chips and a cold, canned soft drink for only $5.99. I'll definitely be back again.
Best Sliced Smoked Brisket around! Longhorn cheddar cheese.
