This place isn’t a restaurant so much as a case study in what happens when management confuses “casual” with “unchecked.”
The hiring strategy for the owner, Jeff Crews, seems to favor employees too young (mostly under-20yo women) or too inexperienced to push back, which makes the kitchen’s power dynamics painfully obvious. The cook, Chris, who is frequently drunk from what Patricia (MoD) says, behaves less like a professional and more like someone who’s never been told “no” while holding authority. The vibe is loud, sloppy, and boundary-free, and it bleeds straight into the dining room.
The staff looks tense, the energy is off, and nothing kills an appetite faster than realizing you’re complicit in supporting a workplace that feels predatory rather than merely dysfunctional.
The catfish is forgettable. The management is not. Lindale may be small, but that’s no excuse for letting this kind of culture pass as normal.

Terrible food. Can’t even fully cook items. Manager is very rude. Would do better as an outhouse cleaner. Will never be back. Have made sure to pass this information on to many friends. Lindale deserves better.

Plates were dirty. Asked for replacements and the new plates were dripping wet. A bit disappointed I hadn't eaten there in a long time and was hoping to start going on a regular basis to support a local business and its close to home. Other than that food and service were ok but I think we will stick with Cracker Barrel. We will give Petty's a shot sometime down the road.
Wife and I split a breakfast burrito it was great and we barely knocked it out.

Yall really should work on y’all’s French toast recipe. Maybe try adding cinnamon or something besides egg to it. I ordered to go and I wasn’t given any syrup either.
Also, idk what the poor girl did to get in trouble but to the owner/manager, please don’t discipline your employees in front of your customers. That’s embarrassing. Go to a back room or outside for that there’s no need.
