Yep, this place is a winner! I've been to Lipan a couple of times, doing something called CityStrides. On those afternoon trips, Marcantonio's Bakery was closed, but I took note. I was determined to do another stride when Marcantonio's Bakery was open. That day was a couple of days ago. The other reviews tell it right. This is not your average small town bakery. At first look, it is a donut shop, but then you realize there is more to it. It is a bakery, and a pie shop. We (three) did our best to sample as much as we could. Everything was great. We had donuts, muffins, and sausage rolls. Everything quite delicious. My wife also made the observation that things were not "super sweet", and this is a good thing. I don't know what the source of their donut fillings, but they taste "fresh." I didn't think to ask the source, but it did not seem to be the chemically tasting fillings so common at other places. The proprietor is super friendly. He gave us a bit of the background on Marcantonio's Bakery, and it's a cool story. I'll just give you a snippet. It's been around since 1998! Want to know more? Come by and talk to Frank! If you have a chance. yo need to check this place out, and a couple other cool places in Lipan! Bottom line: Even when I'm done Striding the city (it's only 22 streets), I'll be coming back to Lipan for tasty treats, cheese (from across the street), and flatbread pizza (another place across the street).

As a customer was very pleased with the attitude and helpfulness of the cashier already two pigs in a blanket a 2 chocolate covered donuts into regular donuts and they tasted very good I will definitely be going back there to get donuts and pigs in a blanket. The atmosphere was nice antiques in Windows and such.

Marcantonio's is not your average small town bakery . The proprietor's , Suzanna and Franko are the best at what they do . I don't think there is anything in that bakery that I don't like . I guess my favorite tasty treat would be , Franko's jelly donuts. Now you'll want to be careful if you get one , because Franko really fills them up . If you get a chance to stop by as you visit or maybe even live in our quiet little town , tell them I suggested you stop in and say good morning to two of the nicest people I have the pleasure of calling them friends .

I been coming to this tranquil place for several years now, without ever being disappointed. Marcantonio's is family owned and operated by great folks who have a passion for excellence! Their food and products are a direct reflection of their commitment. Be sure to try out the pigs, the donuts, the brownies, and their great coffee! That's just the beginning. The Marcantonio family also does serves the community of Lipan by providing a good deal of sweets for special occasions throughout the year. Of course, all of their goodies are calorie free, well close to it. ; ) Keep up the great work!
