The last time I was there the food was awful. Members of my family have been and they had the same reaction. It's a shame because they have a property.

I got the chance to go eat while it was nice outside and couldn't be happier with the service and weather. My family and I had a great time and the food was amazing!

The weather was beautiful but windy last weekend. It was perfect for the patio. The food was good. The coconut shrimp was cooked to perfection. The homemade chips and tortillas were a hit. The steak tacos were chewy. They were out of our first choice, the pork chops. The highlight of the entire experience was the service. I am mad that I don't remember his name, but our server was a professional. He knew what we needed before we did. He was friendly and informative, making it a great experience. The kids loved watching the turtles and walking around the pond and wakeboard facility next door. The menu is mostly Tex-Mex options which felt a little off at a Hawaiian-themed restaurant.

30 minute wait, food was mediocre, so were the drinks. got an Austin Rita that was very underwhelming. Queso came out lukewarm and tasted like Velveeta. Food was pretty good, service was lacking. Disappointed in the drinks

Overpriced food that was okay at best. Server was great and attentive. Heard they're changing the menu again soon and hope they bring back old menu items as we were not the only ones disappointed in the menu change.

We had dinner there Friday 2/18/24. Food was not good at all. Service terrible. They were out of some foods and some soda. we had a beef enchilada that had hardly any meet in it mostly cheese. The other person had tacos that had potatoes and were not good at all. Do not reccomend this place at all. Food Terible

Had been a couple of years since we tried Hula Hit and happy to report it is significantly improved. We had the Fajita nachos and Steak enchilada. Both came out pretty quick and was very hot. The service was good and staff pleasant. Will definitely be back again soon.

We held a wedding and reception on February 3rd and it was marvelous! The coordinator and staff went out of their way to ensure that everything went great. Everyone had a great time, the food was very good, plenty of parking, convenient location, venue setting was perfect, and cost effective. They went above the call. Trust me, if you need an inclusive wedding/reception site, you can't afford to pass Hula Hut by. A spring/summer event affords the opportunity to take in activities at the waterfront marina.

Even though you will see all over the internet and yelp that their patio is dog friendly, IT IS NOT. They only allow services dogs. That is really a shame since it would be a perfect place for dog lovers. We had our dogs so you know how that ended. I've been to the one in Austin so I know it's great but I don't know when we will make it back without our pups. They offered for me to speak to the owner, which I did. When I mentioned the internet/yelp saying the patio is dog friendly, she said, "That was the prior owner". Which tells me that the possibility exists for it to be dog friendly but this owner chooses not to be. I wonder how many people make the trek all the way out here and get turned away? Apologies for basing my rating solely on that. It was a LONG drive from home and was very disappointing.

We drove all the way there since they were open atleast for another hr but found out they close the kitchen down way before.. so went there for nothing. We were so disappointed. Had to go elsewhere. Menu seemed promising.

This is a cute restaurant. The atmosphere would be great for families. The decor both inside & outside is fun. The food was very average, nothing special.

I feel like I am on vacation when I come in the restaurant. They have new owners that have improved on the past menu. The food is great and the service is always great... Even better that they support the conservative community...

My wife and I went to this restaurant to eat lunch last year on a Saturday afternoon. We went to see the car show and then was looking forward to Hula Hut lunch. She took me there about a year prior on our first date. I was looking forward to it. But this time it was a disaster. We waited up front for about 25 minutes for a table. Never got one so we left. The restaurant was slow. Many open tables. The owner was walking around just looking at everyone standing by the door waiting for the young hostess to seat us. He never acknowledged anyone or said anything. I used to be a General Manager for steakhouses. I have a lifetime of restaurant experience. We left without getting sat. It was a terrible experience. My wife left a previous Yelp review describing the same thing I just described. However, someone complained about the yelp review she left so they took it down mentioning that she must have violated yelps policy for the review being a conflict of interest. So I'm leaving another review of our past experience. I have no affiliation with hula hut nor do I have an axe to grind. I was just a customer who had a bad experience.

The food was actually good. I really enjoy the view of Lewisville Lake and the drinks were equally as good.
