The Mrs. and I went here this past week for dinner. I have tried them before and wanted to give them another try. My initial visit was pleasant and the atmosphere was welcoming. But the portions are horrendous for the price. I got the catfish with steamed veggies and a side salad. The fish was as big as a chicken tender and the sides became the main attraction to the dish. I expected my tastebuds to be blown away with flavor regarding $18 for catfish. I was sadly mistaken and the waitress advised that they were trying a new cook.

The food here is really good! We came in Christmas Eve for lunch & were seated quickly. However it did take a while to be served. I’m guessing the kitchen was backed up due to all of the to go orders. The drinks were really good. My hubby had two top shelf margaritas but they clearly changed the tequila in the 2nd one. My daughter had a mimosa & the mango margarita. The mango margarita was really sweet but strong. Beware! I had a few mimosas that were pretty cool. We ordered the lemon pepper wings which were salty but good. I had the chicken & waffles. No complaints. The brisket nachos were really good! The brisket had a great flavor. My only complaint is that my husband’s brisket baked potato was a bit skimpy & the potato was hard in some places. Also I placed a to-go order that sat on the counter for 15-20 min before the waitress brought it over. Not too mention my to-go brisket fries were extremely salty. Good but salty. Overall it was a decent experience. We will give them another chance when we come back to Little Elm.

My first time won’t be my last! I visited Savory on Sunday and ooo wee it was a vibe! When walked up I heard the music banging before I even opened the door. Then as I entered I saw a full house of some of everybody in the place. People at the bar, tables, etc. I sat at the bar, had a few mango mimosa (which smacked by the way) and met some new friends! What I loved about Savory was that everyone from the patrons to the staff were friendly! It felt like a family environment. The deejay was on point too. And I have to give props to the owner, Chef D who did not hide in the kitchen but came out to speak to people. We engaged in conversation and he personally delivered my food to me. If you’re curious about Savory Kitchen, let this be your sign to go! You won’t be disappointed. I’ll definitely be back!

My friend suggested that we try Savory Kitchen Bar for his birthday. It was very good! The food was very tasty and the service was great! Friendly staff! We had Fried Catfish, Breakfast burrito, fried chicken and fries, and a side of the best cheese grits!! Delicious! We will definitely be back! Thanks Daniela for the great service!

I had a friend come into town and she loved to explore new up and coming black owned businesses. Since she was WAY out in Zimbabwe aka Aubrey I had to put on my thinking cap. I recalled Savory being an option. I totally forgot I been there during brunch a couple of years ago. Now, don't blame me I live about 40 minutes away so it's easy to throw it in the background of my mind. When I rolled up everything came flooding back and recalled the experience was pleasurable. We made during Happy Hour since the weekly hours are until about 8pm we snagged drink specials early. I ordered an Old Fashion and my friend enjoyed a Blueberry Mojito. I cruised down the menu a couple of times but I landed on the fried catfish with Mac & Cheese and side salad. My friend had some banging Fettuccine Alfredo with blackened shrimp. It looks so dang creamy and rich. She added some sautéed veggies to balance the carbs.Did you see how pretty my Catfish was..perfect and the Mac & Cheese was nicely browned. Now, I'm not a condiment person. For fish all I want is a lemon wedge. If I need a bunch of sauces...you messed UP in my opinion. Sometimes a little salt...DATS it!!!Let me tell you it was perfectly seasoned and delicious! The only thing I picked up was my fork for more. When we arrived it was empty by the time we got ready to leave the place was buzzing with people. It seems like a neighborhood oasis. If you want some live music Wednesday's is the day you want to show up. It's a nice space for the bar or tables to have some social distance space. So go check them out.

Customer service was great. Food was just as good. Had the special which was lobster Mac, big portion. Nice flavor, could have done without the parsley. Blackened shrimp Alfredo was delicious. Cheesecake was soo decadent and creamy.

Amazing gem in Little Elm with delicious food and drinks! The staff went over and above to make us comfortable by turning off the fan when we're cold and making sure we had everything we need. Hats off to the chef for a great experience with great food and music ?

First of all, love the server, she has amazing tattoos and great recommendations, thank you Cheyenne! This food was full of flavor and lives up to the tittle, savory. The bill wasn't even that high, you pay more at Olive Garden for frozen/processed food! I ordered the Chicken Pasta Blackened (best option) and boy o boy I wasn't ready for the amazing plate I received and my wife ordered The Lobo Burger with Mac and cheese. The pasta was full of flavor along with the chicken, it was so creamy and the chicken was juicy. The burger was huge and also, had the best flavor I've tasted in a burger. Finally the mac and cheese was amazing, once you got the bottom of the mac it had so much cheese I was in heaven. I will be back cause here in Texas it's HARD finding a scratch kitchen like this! Take it from a Native Texan, it is difficult. Worth the wait.

Tried this establishment out and it was very good. We called earlier just in case for reservations. The staff was very friendly and informative. They were playing live jazz which I always appreciate live music and the band was great. The vibe of the place was great. I really appreciated our server mentioning to us that they are a scratch kitchen and so it may take the food longer than expected to come out because everything is made from scratch to order. We didn't even notice and I don't think that it took too long. We also appreciated the owner coming out to greet his customers, that was pleasant to see.The food was very flavorful! The special was the Lobster roll, which was so good. The lobster is served warm and it had a sweet lobster flavor and the roll was butter toasted which was delish. The chicken and waffle, which is what they are known for I believe, was also delish, the chicken was seasoned very well and was juicy. Unfortunately, this waffle was a little on the soggy side majority of it but it was still very tasty. The side of scrambled eggs were cooked well also and the fruit was ripe and sweet. We would definitely drive out there again.

Definitely been sleepin on Chef D! His brisket is Amaaaazing! Great smoke flavor, juicy, and tender. My sis and I shared the brisket nachos and we killed em. I was scraping the plate. ? Sorry no pic, we dove right in. Loved it so much, I ordered the brisket Mac. As you can see, it's pretty big and also very tasty. Don't be like me and sleep on him. Make that drive to lil elm, you WONT be disappointed.

This was hands down the BEST meal I have had in a restaurant in a very long time. Marissa was a sweet heart and service was wonderful. The music was amazing and I will be back for the events they are having…such a great place! Red Snapper and Chicken and Waffles amazing!
