Food has lost its soul it's an ok place service is also pretty good can't complain been coming here since it opened and can tell it went from a really good food and affordable meals to just your average restaurant and pretty pricey, no diff from bigos or anything similar
I wrote my college thesis on this place, due to it being the best restaurant within 15,000 miles (yes that covers the entire world)and the topic of my college thesis was:"How good can a restaurant get? The Texi Mexi Story"This place might as well be placed on Fifth Avenue in New York City, with prices of $30 per taco, because that's what most people would be willing to pay for this place after they have tried their tacos. Thank Heavens it isn't in New York where all the pretentious foodies would be lining up around the block for what many believe to be the best tacos in Los Fresnos. The prices though... I mean you can't beat 6 dollars for a meal of several tacos, charro beans and chips and salsa, I mean (in the voice of Jimmy from South Park) come on!I come to this place quite often, and by quite often I mean several times a week. I walk in the door, the manager behind the counter gives me a quick wink (not in any weird sexual way, more like a "i'm ready to rock your tastebuds kinda way") I sit down and he automatically knows I want the fajita combo with an horchata. I sit for 5.2 minutes (the perfect amount of time for someone to wait, enough time to think about how you're currently in heaven, but not enough to think it's taking long for your food). Juicy, greasy (in a damn good way) meat on delicious tortillas covered in white cheese, avocado and your choice of red or green salsa. Damn! You've arrived my friends... you've arrived.Anyway to top off my review, I got a 110/100 on my college thesis, you know why? My professor thought it was a dumb topic, gave me a 68/100, and then drove all the way from Idaho to the valley to try these tacos, as soon as he took that first bite, he changed it to 110%. True story y'all.2020 COVID19 edit:These guys are still churning out delicious food to-go at an outrageous pace. Keep them chugging along and patronize them. They deserve it.2021 Edit:KEEP THEM GOING! Best food in Los Fresnos.2022 Edit:I had to go to the hospital because I went into a delicious coma after eating here on 1/7/20222023 Edit:Keeping prices reasonable despite inflation. Love them the same as when they first opened. We are a non Mexican family visiting the island and stopped because we were hungry and enjoy fresh food. Omg the food was authentic and delicious with flavor. I have never enjoyed Texas food like I did this place. They were extremely kind as well.Kid-friendliness: We have an small child that is hard to handle and they did not make us feel out of place. My other children they treated just as well.

I ordered a plate the menu said $12.95 after I peed and left my receipt says $13.90 plus the fajitas were too salty the chips and people were good they do give you a large portion of food but the fajitas were too salty first time there will I ever go there again probably not Staff was friendly
