The food is decent...if any other restaurant comes to town they would have competition... service is good...front desk help is amazing...but the management and a few waitresses might show favoritism for some races over others... sometimes you have good things...good environments...but ultimately it's the people that have a big influence on when something can go from good to great...Im a veteran...been going to Blake's for 10 years...the first 9 years I didn't even know about a military discount..to make a long story short...the meal I get is like 10 bucks...with the military discount it's like 7 bucks...thing is...that the military discount was helpful... especially to people on a fixed income...I might have got that discount like 4 times over a span of 4 or 5 months before they told me they don't do military discounts anymore...might be just for me and that's cool..I can definitely cook...I have several veteran friends that still get that discount...but their skin is a different color... from mine...I knew and felt the bad vibes...there was a Hispanic waitress that came all the way from the back to check my military id...after they had already checked it twice at the door...it's hard to believe for some people that every race has served our military...most of the time it's jealousy...they can't get a discount so they don't want you to get one..and to the owner...I appreciate the few discounts I did get...they helped out a lot...I only go to Blake's when my money was low and I needed a food price to help stretch ends for things other than food

Stopper in for lunch on my way back to Austin. Enjoyed deliciously prepared grilled liver and onions with green beans and a baked potato. Cozy atmosphere with plenty of seating.

Food was great! First time I've run into a place that knows how to cook a rare steak properly in a long time. Only complaint I would have, the stuffed jalapeños were a little burnt. Other than that, we will be back

I took some ladies from work to eat lunch. They picked location! I have wanted to go back every since. Everything was delicious and in generous portions. We all ordered different and we were all happy.
Good food, reasonable prices, great service. Will do again if I'm in the area

We really really enjoyed our meal there and our server. The history printed on the menu or card on table was very interesting. We won’t be going back that way but if we weee we’d definitely stop there again

Enjoy classic oldies in your ears with a very homey atmosphere.. and that’s not even the best part. The food was soooo good. And at a cheap price. I am so glad I stopped here.
