So gross. These are supposed to be chicken flautas. Overcooked and disgusting.

Traveling through and decided to stop here for lunch. We seated ourselves, and the server immediately came to our table to bring menus and take our drink order. Food and drinks came out in a timely manner but did not see much of the server after. The food was delicious, with smaller portions, but for the price, I can't complain. Salsa and chips were delicious as well, but we had seven people and only two salsas and one basket of chips. They do charge a percentage for credit card purchases. Overall, it was a good experience and I would return again if in the area.

Always a great meal with the friendliest staff around. They have something for everyone of every age, and breakfast is served all day! I like this restaurant very much, you might like them too.

We went on a trip south and stopped here for a snack before our destination. Got the chicken tenders which were mind blowing, as well as the street tacos. Not a single complaint. Super authentic. Excuse the pics. It was half gone by the time I got a pic.

This is our hometown "go-to" for Mexican food. The food is good and mostly predictable. Great chips and salsa, and fresh flour tortillas. The only downfall is service can be hit or miss.

lemme tell you a story.1) called; was placed on “hold” (no big) but I heard so much drama as they didn’t place me on hold.2) went to place order, the woman speaking to me made no acknowledgement of understanding/things I was ordering.3) she forgot my mini tacos.4) I requested my enchiladas to be cheese. We specifically went back and forth. I have food sensitivities & my food ended up being chicken. No dinner for me or my brother then!5) just poor customer service. I don’t live here but even if I did, I’d never order again. I was excited to get real Mexican food as I miss Mexican food and nah

I love finding new TexMex places with great food. I stopped in at 4:25 and was the inly guest. Off time. My waitress was friendly and quick. I had chips and salsa within 30 seconds and my sweet tea 15 seconds after that. She took my order a few seconds later and my enchilada plate was served piping hot in less than a minute. Very good plate. Very quaint dining area with booths and tables. I definitely recommend eating here.

Great service. Pretty authentic, had the menudo that’s as authentic as you can get. Was 9 out of 10. Steak eggs was very good.

We have been stopping here to & from our trips to the coast for many years. The food has always been excellent until today. Our taco & chalupa shells were so dried out they were inedible. Makes me sad.

Ordered a barbacoa taco and a carne guisada taco. Both were extremely greasy, and the latter was full of fatty "meat" which I ended up giving to my dog. I know barbacoa can be greasy, but I kid you not it was pouring grease everywhere. The only good part of my order was the drink. Had decided to give them a shot since every other taco place in town was closed, but never again. Terrible terrible tacos and for $4+ each no less. I'd much rather go elsewhere.

Awesome food, authentic and great service. Our favorite Mexican restaurant, since moving to Texas!!!

I don't care what anyone says, I LOVE Mr. Taco. The food is always great. Although to be honest Im obsessed with breakfast tacos so I usually just order that (Side note: you can get breakfast all day! What's better than that??) And the street tacos are awesome. Probably some of the best salsa I've had anywhere and worth a trip just for that. I think people complain about them all the time on Facebook because the owner charges a fee for credit card transactions...and I can understand why people might feel like they are being nickel and dimed when in this day and age when no one walks around with cash...but...what can I say? I love the food so I tolerate it.

Just blah... nothing special at all. Food was incredibly greasy which duh... it's Mexican food but it was sopping wet in oil.

Needs a new name!I was driving through Luling for the first time and was looking for a place to eat. The first two restaurants I found on Google had empty parking lots so I drove by them. I saw Mr. Taco in the search results, but I did not want a fast food taco drive through place, so I kept looking. I drove by it twice checking out other places that were either closed down or empty. I finally gave in and pulled in the driveway. What I found was something that surprised me.Mr. Taco really is not a good name for this restaurant. This is not a taco place at all. It is a full fledge sit down restaurant with one of the most extensive menus you could hope for. They serve All Day breakfast, which includes everything from Huevos al la Mexicana to pancakes, ham and eggs. They serve everything from American to authentic Mexican food, to Seafood. Chicken fried steak to Chicken Mole.If you follow my reviews, you know I am a Caldo nut. Yes, they have Caldo too! And boy is it good! Delicious ?. My wife have the Spicy Camarón and it was delicious as well. The thing that took me by surprise was the chips and salsa here. I can say with absolute honesty, that I would drive out of my way, just to come here for their chips and salsa. Now, that is saying something. I don't think I have ever had better chips. They actual PUFF their corn chips. I have never seen that. I am not even sure how you do it. What I do know is, they are fantastic ?!The salsa is just right as well. I get so tired of getting salsa that taste like they dumped stewed tomatoes in a blender. The salsa at Mr. Taco is flavorful and has just the right amount of heat to let you know that peppers are in there, but not so hot that it takes away from the flavor.Long story short, Mr. Taco just needs to change it's name. I almost did not eat here because of the name, and that would have been my loss. Don't make the same mistake I almost made. If you are driving through Luling, you now know exactly where to get some great food and amazing chips and salsa.
