My husband and I both ordered Great Balls of Fire burgers and house fries. The burgers were some of the best we have had. The meat patties were hand formed and the quality was excellent, not fatty and no gristle!! I highly recommend!!

We've lived here for over a year and have never been able to try this place because of their hours. Today was the day.The place is very eclectic and homey. I loved the old school wrestling they have playing. Lots of very interesting items and signs hanging around. Was like being in a time warp. Old wresting on the TV. Old missmatched dishes, tables, and chairs.On to the food. We had a BLT, two hotdogs, and a burger. My mom said the BLT was great. Both people who ate the hotdogs absolutely loved them. The home fries that come with each sandwich were good but would have been better if they were hot. The burger, unfortunately, was very bland. Not at all what I expected. I was happy that they didn't use frozen burgers. They were fresh and just lacked seasoning.

I was hungry and this place smelled good so I asked the lady at the counter what was the most popular which is apparently the chili dogs. They're a pleasant surprise as the chili is pretty darn good. The vintage atmosphere was nice as well. Gotta love the name, too. If you leave hungry that's your own fault.

Great food for a great price.Ordered the daddy dog, Mac burger, regular burger and the mountain fries.We left with a ridiculous amount of potatoes well eat later and some ice cream Togo. Will be returning when I'm back in down.

Such a gem. We were traveling from San Antonio to n and we wanted something besides the typical barbecue or Mexican food. The good thing about coming at lunch rush hour was I walked by every table and every basket looked better than the rest. By the time I went to the counter I wanted everything. I settled with a hot dog and a side salad and my husband chose a burger. None was run of mill. There were 4or 5 burgers to chose from and 4 or 5 hot dogs. Let me tell you. I was expecting a basic hot dog but these are not. The meat was lean, not greasy and so flavorful. I chose my dog with bacon, jalepenoes and ranch. Delicious. The salad had the most beautiful tomatoes and they had great home made dressings. My husband had a jalepeno concoction and he loved it too. We left stuffed and each meal was under $10 which is unheard of now days. The shop is adorable like a walk back into the 1960's drugstore. Such a great surprise!

Stopped here for lunch when passing through on vacation and reading the reviews on Yelp. A welcoming little restaurant with a great variety of delicious hotdogs. My hubby had the Danke Shoen and I had the Bandstand. Both came with little fried potatoes and all of it was delicious! We split a chocolate chip bar for dessert and it was also delicious! The table next to us had the frito chili pie and it looked really good as well. Friendly service, great atmosphere. Would definitely stop here again.

First off, how cute is this place!!!! Such a sweet small town spot. But the food was equally as good! Owners are super friendly and just make you feel right at home. Highly recommend the chili cheese potatoes. So good!! Didn't take a picture cause we ate it up.

The bbq was dry and tasteless. They give you a bottle of thin homemade sauce but it didnt help much. It was an unappealing yellow-gold color. The sides were good but the people behind the counter acted like they didn't want to be bothered. They weren't helpful or friendly and we didnt know the routine. The room was uncomfortably warm. The bbq was ridiculously overpriced. It wasn't worth it. I dont mind paying for good bbq but this wasn't good! Very bad experience. Sign out front should say Locals Only. We're going back to the area tomorrow but we'll try the bbq in Lockhart this time.
