The queso is good. Other than that, it's a small town tex-mex place, and it is what it is. Not bad, just don't expect to be talking about those amazing tamales on the drive home.

The food is usually great, but they got a bad batch of skirt steak, I bent my fork trying to cut it and I couldn’t. The whole plate was the same. I asked kindly that it be replaced with chicken and they told me I would have to not only pay for my plate of food, but would have to pay extra to exchange the meat. I’m not a complainer at all and I didn’t want a refund, I was just wanting to eat a good meal. Service was good, but they sent a kid to tell me that they wouldn’t exchange the food…instead of the mgr.

I don't like long posts so here it is in a nutshell. * First time a week ago delish, HOT, affordable, although the salsa is more like a thinned out tomato sauce. I'm sure the side item of sour cream I ordered was scooped from a small melon baller. *2nd visit today, 10/2/24, about 12:15 pm lunchtime, food was just lukewarm. The restaurant was not busy at all at this time So disappointed. I will give it another try.
Read about National Taco Day and went. Went to Juan's a long time ago when they were in old building but glad we went to current location. Clean, well staffed and great $2 taco, $2 beer, $2 margarita deal. I especially like non-greasy tacos and Juan's does it perfectly. The tacos don't fall apart and are crisp and fresh. Think I've found a new taco place for me.

My wife has been bugging me for days about wanting to go to a Mexican restaurant, so I gave in decided to go here. Last time I came here was during the pandemic I wasn't overly impressed back then and I wasn't this time. Proportions for chintzy and the quality food was just so-so. I ordered the fajitas which are like 13 something and my wife got some kind of queso Bowl. For the life of me I don't understand how this place is always busy? I mean the food is nothing to write home about. This town used to have a lot of good Mexican restaurants but not anymore. The kicker was when I was checking out it all came up to $25! I mean I'm not exaggerating when I say I don't think my small dog would be filled eating this. On top of that the food really wasn't that hot the rice was cold. Boy I Miss Crazy Jose's in their Heyday they were one of the best. If she ever coax me to go here again it won't be top prices it'll be for lunch hour and that's it.
