They have some of the best steaks in the area and you can see them cooking them over an open fire. The other foods are equally as good as well. It has a nice welcoming atmosphere and the servers are very attentive and helpful.

My husband and I enjoyed an early dinner at The Tree this evening. It had been a while since we’ve been there…and realized we’ve really been missing out! We had the fried shrimp and fish combo and the cajun catfish dinners and both were fresh, full of flavor and plentiful. The biscuits were a nice touch too. But OMG…the handmade cinnamon rolls are definitely the bomb!!! (And only on Thursdays). Service and ownership are top notch! A must try and a true gem in Lumberton!

This is the best restaurant in Lumberton, TX! It's a little pricey, but the food is phenomenal. You'll be glad you came.
We went to the tree tonight, and were promptly seated, however being seated was the fastest thing of the night. Our server Mia, although kind took an extremely long time for everything. Not sure if she was overwhelmed but drinks, appetizer, ordering our food took FOREVER. We ordered a burger & I had a steak. Both were good, however I requested my steak medium and it was extremely rare. I had to send it back, which took almost 10 minutes for her to come back to tell her there was an issue plus more waiting on me for it to be cooked again. Once it was corrected, the food was great! My husband enjoyed his burger and the steak was good, and so were the sides! The biggest issue was waiting for our check, it took almost 30 minutes for her to bring it to us, then another 10 of waiting for her to come back and process it. Needless to say, if we do come back we will definitely choose a different server who can handle the fast paced environment or choose a less busy night.

We had great food & service but what we ordered came with a regular side & we wanted to upgrade to a better side. On the menu it was $1 more , so we ordered & when we got our bill it seemed high so I looked it over, we were charged $6 each extra for our sides. No simple upgrade charge like every other restaurant Ive ever eaten at does. When I questioned the waitress she said that’s how they charge. We weren’t told of this & feel totally ripped off!!! We won’t bother eating there again. What a waste of time & money. Lumberton can do better. We try to support local but this is unacceptable in every way. At least let us know & maybe give us our regular side that we already paid for plus the expensive upgrade. We are very disappointed in the service there.
