Great visit on our way to Athens. Delicious brisket and sausage. My daughter said if she was President she would declare this the best BBQ. Nolan was great and the service was top notch. Can't wait to be back.

I can't recommend B4 BBQ highly enough! The food is absolutely outstanding, and the staff, including the owner, are some of the friendliest people you'll ever encounter. As part of my journey on the Texas Monthly Top 50 trail, I made the trek from southern Fort Worth, and it was well worth it. B4 takes brisket to extraordinary heights with two exceptional choices: traditional and pastrami. I opted for the traditional brisket, and it completely blew me away. With an incredible bark and a perfect smoke ring, each bite was an explosion of flavor. The texture was so tender that it practically melted in my mouth, and it was wonderfully moist and juicy. Without a doubt, this has been the best brisket I've experienced on my BBQ adventure so far!
These ribs were nothing short of extraordinary. Perfectly cooked, they showcased a stunning bark and just the right amount of pullback from the bone, signaling expert preparation. The flavor was exceptional, enhanced by a subtly sweet glaze that made each bite incredibly tender, allowing the meat to slide off the bone effortlessly. Without a doubt, these are among the best ribs I've encountered on this BBQ journey!
B4's house-made pork sausage with jalapeño and cheese truly delivers. The casing has an irresistible snap, and the flavor is nothing short of spectacular. Each bite is a delight, thanks to its wonderfully moist texture. This is hands down the best sausage I've tasted on this BBQ trail—an absolute must-try!
B4 is an absolute gem that every food lover must experience. Not only does it rightfully claim its place among the Top 50, but it truly deserves a spot in the Top 10! You simply cannot miss out on the exceptional culinary delights they offer!

This place should be illegal, it's so good! I think I'm going to die after attempting to eat only about a quarter of the belly buster plate. Better have an empty stomach when you come here, because it's so delicious, you won't be able to stop yourself from overeating.

My son runs a food truck that does BBQ in Alaska in the summer time and lives in TX in the winter. He tries to hit as many BBQ joints as possible when in TX. He found this one really liked it. Said it was right at the top and wanted us to go when we visited fro Alaska. We went. It is out in the middle of nowhere in the back of a country store. Food was very good. The brisket was a little too done for my taste. It was clearly wrapped too long and was pot roasty soft. Almost mushy. The sausage was not snappy but had great flavor. The casing was chewy. The ribs were my least fav. Lacked seasoning. Just kind of unmemorable. The pulled pork was amazing as was the cobbler, elites, and turkey. I’m being knit picky here because this is a TX top 50 joint. I would definitely make the drive from Rockwall to eat there again. Lastly great hospitality. The Pitmaster literally talked with every single customer at some point during their visit.

This is the Best BBQ I’ve ever ate and I’ve ate a lot of places. They get very busy and run out quickly so show up before 11 if possible or better yet order online so you’re not left out .
They are very friendly but not a lot of time to chat at rush hour but the owner will walk through and check on his customers when time allows home.
His side kick just had another surgery so he might be a little stressed but trust when I say he is a kind man.

The most memorable part of lunch at B4 Barbeque was actually the owner, Nolan. He was everywhere—in the best way! He was hands-on with the front of house, making sure tables were cleaned promptly, food was coming out hot, and everyone had what they needed. He took the time to explain the menu and answer questions, and his passion for the food truly showed.
The BBQ itself was very good, but the service was what really stood out. Nolan’s level of care and involvement made the whole experience feel warm, welcoming, and well-run. It’s rare to see an owner so actively engaged, and it made a lasting impression.

Where do I even start???
Everything. And I mean EVERYTHING is so damn good. I don’t know why I haven’t left a review yet. The brisket is so tender it just melts in your mouth. Don’t even get me started on the burnt ends. You barely even have to chew they’re so buttery soft and soooo flavorful. Mac & cheese is cheesy gooey. The doritos on top was a really nice touch for added texture and flavor. The elote???? Bruh. Better than any little Mexican joint I’ve ever been and I’m Hispanic. Idk how they do it. Burstingggg with flavor. We had dessert too. The pumpkin pie cheesecake: at first all you taste is pumpkin pie, but then you get that rich creamy cheesecake taste. YUM. We ALSO (I know man we wanted leftovers duh) got the banana pudding. Oh. My. God. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I want to say it’s topped with biscoff cookies? Could be wrong but that small touch made it incriminatingly good. Very original. Nolan, the owner, makes you feel like family. Like you come there all the time and you’re coming and going as you please. Really great place, really great owners, really great food. My tastebuds are happy and my belly is full. Looking forward to coming back already.

First of all, the vibe takes me back to my roots, I mean come on an old Feed Barn, is probably the best idea for a BBQ stop! When it comes to the Food, I had the brisket, great, tender, and juicy. It didn't need it but paired great with the house sauce. The elote was a major co-star. I loved it spicy variation. Well worth the drive from Longview for more. Pretty dang good for an ol' Army-dog! Go early, they wait on you like one dog waits on another, when it's gone, it's gone.

Great food but the owner is clearly carrying some baggage.. I’ll be praying you find peace.
We absolutely love B4 BBQ and Boba! The food is absolutely amazing, and the owners are the nicest people. We have made the short trek from Waxahachie twice now, and it has been more than worth it both times. The brisket is amazing, and we especially liked the ribs and burnt ends. Our favorite sides were the mac and cheese, elote, and potato salad. The different kinds of tres leches for dessert are so good- we have tried the Ube and the Biscoff, and both were amazing! B4 is definitely worth a visit for any BBQ lovers, they are very deserving of their Top 50 designation!
