The atmosphere was your normal everyday dairy Queen but yesterday was Tuesday so taco Tuesdays I tried the dairy Queen tacos in Gunbarrel they were horrible so later in the evening I thought well I'll just go to Maybank and get some tacos for me and the family they took forever to give me my tacos and the tacos were again horrible from now on if I want dairy Queen I'm driving to Trinidad Trinidad dairy Queen is hands down the best dairy Queen I've ever eaten everybody if you want good quality dairy Queen go to Trinidad have a nice day 😁

Went through the drive through and it took me twice of saying hello for anyone to answer, then it was giggling and finally they responded but felt as if I was an inconvenience with each it item I requested. Then once I got to the window took them till my food was done to tell me my total and hand me my drink. And the girl at the window said we're so slow, here you go! as she swung my food to me and then shut the windows to go play with the others. I understand it I mostly highschoolers employed at this fast food chain but is there not an adult to supervise these kids or a manager to teach them customer service skills, and when/how it's ok to have fun at work and when the job should be taken seriously. Both my kids were employed by this dairy queen, and at that time (few years ago ) they had a manager (Doris i believe) and she kept them in line. Not sure if she no longer works there but someone needs to help the kids that are employed there now as they wont make it anywhere else with their lack of customer service. Slow or not I just got off work from an 11hr hour shift and not only did I feel like an inconvenience but they were to busy playing and giggling to even get my order right. I ordered a # 1 with cheese and received a cold burger with no cheese and looked as if it was just thrown together. Although my fries were fresh and hot and I did receive the extra gravy for the 6pc chicken basket I ordered. I'm not looking for free food or any money, I'm asking that yall help these kids you employ so that they might actually get somewhere in life. The rude, disrespectful behavior I received when trying to get some food so I could get home and go to bed was not appreciated at all.

I think it's official, Mabank Dairy Queen has officially went down the tube's but it happened long before this post. There's a young man walking around behind the register with his hands in his pockets. Good lord!! I had a boss years ago tell me, when a man's hands are in his pockets, he didn't show up to actually work. It's a shame to see this place suffer from poor work ethics and whats worse, the owner reads the comments and nothing changes. There are solutions to this problem and #1 bulldoze the building and sell the property because this is not serving the community. #2 address these issues with your team up here. Sure, they can read them but they need to feel your disappointment and disapproval of their service to the community. #3 I can fix all your problems however, good leadership is not cheap. This place will be operating as it should and in turn, revenues will increase.

They are rude and make fun of older people. They don't know they are doing a job? It's a place that don't care if they please their customers. I order a blizzard and tried to cancel my blizzard. I was afraid they would spit in it or something even worse because they were making a scene. I ask for my money back but they flat out refused to return my money. So I drove off without my abused blizzard and they kept my $8.00. Yes that's what they charge for a medium blizzard. I'll never go back. They tried telling me they were busy but no one in the drive-thru no one at the counter inside. I would fire everyone in the place and start over. The are all young and very disrespectful, the one girl that refused to give me my money back and then slammed yes slammed the window in my face needs to be fired!! I've never been treated that way at a DQ but I promise I'll never go to this DQ again!! I've been going there for 40 years but I'll never go there again. I would recommend going to the GBC DQ but don't waste your time at this one. We had this problem there before but we didn't complain. It's sad they are steadily running off long time customers. Hire someone that's over 25 maybe they have been taught to be kind to all your customers. All I know is the day shift that was there on 11/20/2024 do not have any manners or respect for DQ"S long time customers.

I work in the service industry so it takes a lot for me to complain, but I have never been so upset leaving a restaraunt. The girl working the window was so incredibly rude... we sat and watched our food sit on the counter for 15 mins (not exaggerating) while I guess they were waiting for fries. Not under a heat lamp or anything just sitting there. Never came to the window to apologize for the wait or let us know what was going on. Spoke all of two words to us and that was the total I was not rude or even showing I was upset. When she did bring my food she literally shoved it out the window and slammed the window shut while rolling her eyes. This isn't a one time thing either, I usually don't go here because the wait time is insane and the kids are always rude and snappy.
Both of the DQs in the area (Mabank and GBC) are poorly ran. It is all very young people workers. It is just a job to them. Not much pride in service, friendliness, cleanliness. I guess it is understandable. Probably their first working experience. It does not say much for the management and ownership, though (both owned by the same owner). This is why we do not patronize these businesses very often.

Great place to sit back and enjoy the sunshine; for it offers a fantastic scenic area to enjoy while you wait for your food to be brought to you. No place like the Palace of Texas to take a break – especially during this Texas heat. My favorite thing is the breakfast burritto; for, I like to open it up and eat it with chop-sticks. Just like a chop-sticking Chicano.
